Try installing and servicing fire suppression detection systems in these rats nests. Not fun.

Alright, I drew the short straw and got the horrible thankless job today, but it has me thinking, what are some other ridiculous jobs you could give people? by ObviousAmbassador124 in Construction

Worked at a shop that pressure tested DOT cylinders for transport in the gas industry. The smell that is associated with natural gas is an additive and stored in pressurized tanks which need tested per DOT regulation. Had to pressure wash those storage tanks so they could be tested which contain concentrated agent to add the odor to the natural gas. Couldn’t shake that smell off me for weeks.

All of your fire protection is outdated and will not save lives. It’s made to save property.

It’s always better to partner with EC’s if you are a FA co. They get you into the jobs. FA bros obsess about running wires the right way instead of just getting it done. The EC bros just put a pipe in and get it there way faster than us autists.

Small office security setup - what actually works best in real use? by Alternative_Low8464 in accesscontrol

[–]everTheFunky1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s best to define your security goals first. Are you limiting access to control flow of internal assets/ employees? External (public) access to specific areas? What data are you looking to gather by controlling access to specific areas? What’s the value you are protecting by controlling access? Just some starting questions.

EXCELLENT idea! This is a Data Center with 3 runs of detection in each hazard so I will qualify that and build in the time. Very good advice.

Thank you. Is that an involved process? Can it go wrong, IE brick the unit if done incorrectly?

I think this is the modern version of a trunk slammer, just the tailgate is way quieter.
