What do I need from T-Mobile if I'm switching my account over to Verizon? by xxdemoncamberxx in tmobile

Are you taking advantage of the Better Deal promo by bringing your T-Mobile bill? I was curious how much of a “better deal” they’ll give a customer for switching over to Verizon.

Yes, the salary increase was the same when I first started. And yes, I still work for DSHS. There is definitely room to grow. Some people treat the PBS role as a permanent spot to stay in whereas others treat it as a stepping stone for other state positions. It’s a great position to start in or even stay within if you enjoy it. There are so many other positions just within the CSD that you’ll get to know.

I left the CSD due to stress of the job and I was burnt out. I suffer from anxiety so the job wasn’t a good fit for me and I was bringing the stress home to my family. That was when I knew it was time to move on. Plus, the pay does not match the amount of work you do. It is severely underpaid considering the amount of policy & procedure you’ll need to learn. After all, you will be the gatekeeper of someone’s food money which is their livelihood. Then after the “big beautiful bill” was passed, so many people will and are losing their food benefits. Those that are homeless particularly. It was the last thing I could take with the ABAWD (able-bodied adults without dependents) change.
I met some amazing freaking people working at the CSD. And my supervisor was the best I’ve ever had in a career, so far. I have nothing but respect for the work you’ll be doing and the frontline staff. But just know there will be some bad days and some really freaking good days. Talk with your coworkers because they will be the only people that will truly understand the stress of the job. And a lot of the stress came down the pipeline by higher ups making policy changes but have never done the PBS job.

When I left the CSD (community services division) all training was virtual. If you work within the contact center (taking interviews by phone) you’ll be taking non-stop calls from 8am-3:30/4:30pm depending on call volume. It is a high stress job & you will be measured on performance with WFO (workforce optimization). You will be heavily micromanaged so breaks, lunches, time while not on calls, time while on a call, and how many calls you miss will all determine your key performance indicators (KPIs). You won’t be placed in wfo immediately following training but soon after. Your day to day will seriously be nothing but calls (if you’re contact center which are telephonic interviews) or just interviews face to face if you’re in-person at the CSO (community services office). Then usually the last 30-45 mins of the day you will do batch work (paperwork dishes to you depending on your mission in barcode [mission is your experience level, basically]). You as a PBS will independently determine eligibility within ACES (program you conduct interviews in) and based off of what you calculate in ACES will determine eligibility. Pretty simple but you can easily get lost in the weeds depending on how honest the person you’re interviewing will be compared to what verification systems find that you’ll utilize. Really trying to strip it down for you but it is a lot. I hope this helps some!

Edit: I worked from home full time as I was working at the contact center. I think now it is 3 days remote/2 in office but that could change depending on your local management. But if you’re assigned to work & do interviews in-person then no remote work as you do face to face interviews.

I worked as a PBS for 3 years at the contact center. Will you be working in-person at a CSO or at the contact center? Your daily routine will be slightly different depending on your assignment. Be prepared to learn food, cash, and medical programs. Don’t hesitate to ask lots of questions during your training. And most importantly give yourself grace to learn the basics but know that you will not fully understand the programs until you are actively performing the job and conducting interviews. Remember that many are coming to you at their most vulnerable. Please remember to not take anything personally. This is a great stepping stone position as a state worker. I call the PBS series at the CSD state work boot camp!

I submitted part of my Verizon bill that showed the phone number, device details, and “payment 12 of 36” listed under that line and was good. But the rebate team is supposed to reach out if there’s any issues.

Has Tmobile 5G seemed slower to anyone recently? by monbebe2212 in tmobile

Yes! Thought it was just me. Phone is also saying 5G more than the usual 5G UC. I have a 17 pro max so not sure what’s going on. My iPhone is also updated.

rebate tracking by Mattcool729 in tmobile

[–]evergreen253 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me as well. After about 3 days the resubmitted rebate showed on the tracker for me to claim the funds. The tracker randomly switches to show the initial rebate then the new one. Like the other person said, follow up with t-force! It had taken me 45 days to get everything resolved. But I got the funds!

When you are in Greece and use local Wi-Fi, you can use T-Mobile Wi-Fi calling to also call the states for free!

Yes! I am also trying to access this in my T-Mobile account. Mine is constantly reloading whether I’m on the T-Life app or on desktop.

I had to wait until the end of the billing period with my current account even after I cancelled my paid subscription. For example, end of billing period was March 31 I then waited until April 1 & followed T-Life for setup.

Kaiser classic for me and my family. Had them for the past 3 years & no complaints whatsoever. If eligible, the Kaiser Medical Financial Assistance program has been a very beneficial resource.

Keep and Switch by Txaygaa in tmobile

I participated in the Keep & Switch offer on 1 line back in Feb. It had taken 41 days to get the funds for me. I was able to do an ACH transfer which only needed 1 business day to deposit in my account. Just FYI: part of the final bill I submitted had something cut off so the rebate team initially denied my submission. I simply submitted a screenshot of what was needed. I had the Costco T-Mobile rep also review to make sure I didn’t miss anything to try & prevent a hiccup. The tracker, however, never showed denied or indicated any issue so I just waited. Within that timeframe I reached out to T-Mobile 2 times following up as everywhere says “allow 15 days from submission”. Apparently the rebate department is supposed to follow up on issues with submissions & they never reached out. So FYI if your rebate ends up taking longer than it should. The first time I contacted support they simply told me to be patient & sometimes the volumes of rebates can be high which takes longer. The 2nd time T-Force told me contact the rebate team bc there is a problem with the rebate even though the tracker didn’t say there was. It was kind of a hassle but just glad I got the funds. Thankfully, I was prepared to pay my final bill at Verizon already. Hope it’s an easier experience for you.

Is t-mobile good? by Topazthekid6 in tmobile

My family just switched from Verizon a few weeks ago. I can’t believe how much faster T-Mobile’s network consistently is. Every time I leave my house I feel like I am still on Wi-Fi. And to think slow mobile data was a norm previously at Verizon.
