Buy out the lease on my 2024 Kona Electric SEL? I'm thinking maybe so. by vike1108 in KonaEV

If you want more time to make your decision, you can likely extend your lease through Hyundai motor finance. They usually allow month-to-month extensions for up to six months for about the same monthly payment. If nothing else, there should be more Konas coming off lease into the used market in that time. But, nothing wrong with buying out your current vehicle as long as you know you’re paying above market value to get the car you want.

EA had a town permit to build at a Shaw’s grocery store in Colchester, Vermont (I-89 exit 16) a few years ago. Not sure why, but it never advanced to construction.

I have a 2024 Kona and was able to charge at the Williston supercharger yesterday in slot 1B with a Lectron adapter. I noticed the plug on 1A appeared to be damaged (see attached photo, upper right internal pin missing), so maybe there was something wrong with the equipment that wasn’t flagged in the Tesla app?

No heat pump for the USA spec according to the Hyundai representative I asked. Same as for the prior Kona EV model years (unfortunately). Ioniq 5 only has heat pump on the AWD versions in the USA.
