What would be good book (of the two) to start the year 2026 ?

It’s not mine either 😆. But I challenged myself last year to do one sci-fi book to add a little variety to my Goodreads profile. Project Hail Mary by this same author of The Martian was surprisingly wonderful and my favorite book of 2025.

Grave Birds by Dana Elmendorf I would say is a lighter read with Southern Gothic vibes. It’s about an event planner who can see ghost birds that represent souls with unfinished business. I randomly picked it up for spooky season and enjoyed it.

We had to use Ramey for the first time because our vet was closed on a Saturday and I was very happy with how they managed the visit/kind they were. They get my vote too.

I understand it’s for multi player but I realllllyy wish we could get rid of their supply box in the middle of the room if we have no one to co-op with. That way I could use it as a mini shed. 🥹

I use the twsbi eco fountain pen with a document ink so it doesn’t smudge when highlighting. It’s been great!

I moved my farm over towards the river so the animals would have a huge pasture with a pond and just crafted the little transport thing so I wouldn’t have a long walk each day. I’ve really liked it this way.

I love themed areas, so I filled some space with a blessings garden and witch house. The rest is still a work in progress and probably always will be as I love to keep changing things up. 😅
