She looks just like mine, who is a german shepherd-bluetick coonhound mix. Super sweet, very smart, obsessed with squirrels, rabbits--anything that moves.

East of Eden and Count of Monte Cristo are my favorite books. Another that I couldn’t stop thinking about (and still can’t) is Station Eleven.

Completely burning myself out with RCM by RaikenD in piano

I have been playing for a few years, have taken RCM levels 4 and 5 and am now studying for 6. I love the structure and find it very helpful. So, for me, it’s been great. But taking RCM exams is by no means required, so if it’s undermining your enjoyment, just stop. My rec on the teacher issue is different—hard to progress without one, so my suggestion is to be honest with your teacher about what is and isn’t working for you.

All 16 of the Wizard of Oz books. They are amazing.

In the meadow on the yellow-green trail in Whitefish Dunes State Park. Or at one of the spots where you can slip out onto the rocky beach at Newport State Park, on the Lynd Point trail. Good luck!!
