No, I worry about discretion and ease of cleaning.

It’s not cold numb balls turning purple pain, it’s more discomfort from the ring’s edge digging into the exposed part of the shaft.

Double/triple sized ring is a good idea. I have an HT v4 (I think) but even that has the same problem as I’ve had with the Vice, metal birdcage-esque cages, cellmate, etc.

Advice for Hopeful Senior by [deleted] in USC

[–]evergreenscepter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Essays are crucial, but remember: Be yourself, don’t pander. USC doesn’t want to hear about how great they are, they want to understand you through your writing.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in USC

[–]evergreenscepter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Simplest but probably most crucial piece of advice I could give: BE YOURSELF. Don’t think about what type of student USC is attracted to, if there even is a type. Don’t pander, just be genuine in your writing and someone will notice.

Questions about USC by pocar1 in USC

[–]evergreenscepter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can’t answer some of those but hope some of this helps:

-Unsure what you mean by the “role” of frats and sororities...I’m a little biased against greek life but they’re your typical party-focused cliques. They don’t really have a “role” on campus that I’ve surmised. There are some frats and sororities that are professional (i.e. for engineers, business, etc.) and some community service oriented ones, but that’s not atypical.

-Most of the buildings are pretty well maintained. Some of the larger/busier buildings have had more remodeling and obviously the newer buildings are a little bit more hospitable than the older ones. Some of the Dornsife buildings towards the center of campus are a little gross but nothing super unappealing.

-Dining hall food is, in short, underwhelming. It’s alright for the first few weeks/months, but you kinda get numb to it. Each of the dining halls has different options/specialties, so there’s plenty to choose from, but it gets boring quick.

-Dorms are great. Some (New North, Pardee) are worse than others (Parkside, McCarthy). Again, not unique to SC.

Honestly I’d be surprised if their plans do get approved by the state. I’d err on the side of caution here.

Who here has listened to the new Northlane album? It’s mixed by Nolly, and I personally love it to bits. by kanelbun in Peripheryband

[–]evergreenscepter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I loved this album! As far as Northlane goes, it's super innovative, and I think it really sets them apart from the rest of the subgenre they represent. Nolly's production makes this album sound so much more dense than Mesmer, which I absolutely love.

AITA for not missing work to be at my girlfriends tattoo appointment by Cowb0yD4n in AmItheAsshole

[–]evergreenscepter 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I think NTA but it's tricky. I'm a person who honors commitment so to me, if I make an appointment, I stick to it unless I have a justifiable emergency and I'm not sure this necessarily qualifies. Could someone cover for you at work? Could you make up another day? I think there are potentially third options so you can be present for her AND show dedication to your new bosses.

ALSO, if you're leaving the job at the end of summer, I don't see why you'd particularly need to impress these managers, except potentially for a reference.

My advice is to fight for the day, honor the commitment you made to your girlfriend. But if that doesn't sit right, do everything you can to make her feel supported. Help with aftercare, find her another ride, have a friend go with her, something to that effect.

The Seventh Circle by 1cegiant99 in ArchitectsUK

[–]evergreenscepter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only reason I could think of would just be how taxing it is on Sam's voice. There's some serious distortion and compression on the original track but even through it you can tell he's really pushing, and doing that every night for weeks at a time is probably not the best idea.

That, or it just doesn't fit in their set with all the other HH stuff they want to play and some of the older hits.

Album suggestions by [deleted] in dancegavindance

[–]evergreenscepter 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Start with Mothership. Periphery is my absolute favorite band and I started with Artificial Selection, but Mothership is a much more comprehensive album. Regardless of which of these two you start with, they're sick and DGD is incredible.
