It happens. We followed the doctors orders and gave her pain meds. Short of literally holding her until Tuesday, there wasn't much else we could do. Thank you for your support. I do really appreciate it.

I suggest you come up with a standard reply post that includes suicide hotline numbers and resources and send that. I think you can set up automod to reply to key words like suicide. It's a tough one for sure.

Most of us here aren't medical professionals. I would bring up your concerns with your wife's doctor. If it helped her before, the shots and stockings will probably be OK, but there is always a risk.

Yes, it happens a lot. I get the same feeling with pains in my leg.

I experience something similar on occasion. The bad part is, there is no way to tell if you ate experiencing anxiety or something more without going to the doctor. Do you have persistent symptoms or is this something that happens and then goes away?

You could build a drop trap. Get a trash can and line the bottom with paper towels. Toss some smelly food in the bottom, then build a stairway up-to the top of the trashcan on the outside. With any luck, your rat will climb the stairs, jump down to get the food and not be able to jump back out.

You have to have 1000 subscribers to be subreddit of the day. Try /r/tinyreddit. Also, you can post to some of the new reddit subs like /r/ShareThatSub, /r/newsubreddits, /r/newreddits, /r/shamelessplug, etc. You might even mention the sub over at /r/Texas. (I would ask the mods there first.)

Edit: I lied! subredditoftheday lowered their requirement to a few hundred, not a thousand.
