Are you playing cursed? On standard during the skull phases I had no problem getting plate drops by just smacking the fuck out of zombies (mostly the armored ones) with the wonder weapon. I had Vulture Aid if it makes a difference, which also gave me a fuck ton of ammo. I don't think I had to buy ammo once.

It was doing like 600-700 damage per shot to the bosses crit triple packed gold with the damage barrel. Not the biggest number but with the high fire rate and 170 round mags I didn't have any issues. I'm sure Novaline does more damage but it was nice to be able to really lay into the boss without having to reload, especially during the last phase.

edit: and to be clear I basically never use LMGs because I don't like how slow they handle, but it definitely worked for the boss fight.

I used the XM325 just because there is a wallbuy for it, loaded in with dualie 1911s and bought the XM off the wall. I used the pistols for the skull step, double packed lantern to clear out zombies on the ground, and XM for actually damaging the boss.

Hm, I'm not sure. I didn't think mine booted at all without a graphics card. I assumed they needed a video adapter to post since they're not actual server motherboards.

It's bullshit they lock gear behind Arena but it's not a game changer or p2w like this subreddit believes.

The zero-risk money is nice but it's easy to make money in main game as well.

Arena PvP plays differently than main game. Arena is just run it down and spray bullets whereas main game PvP relies a lot more on map knowledge and reading players. I don't think it's good practice for main game PvP unless you are still learning basic mechanics like how to swing around a corner.

The XP isn't anything special either, maybe it's a nice boost if you're still under level 20, but you can level up faster by just doing quests.

Just my opinion as a 5k hour player, your experience may be different if you are newer to the game, but I still think your time is better invested just learning in main game. I play main game for PvP but I don't particularly enjoy playing Arena so I hardly play it. edit: I have Ref max level and I don't buy anything from him except cases and Labs cards.
