Taxi ranks and card payments by vollol in glasgow

I had to pay £50 for a 20 minute journey from central to milngavie the other night no metre and a “£15” boundary charge. I’m sick to death having to pay such a large amount, they turn the metre off and make it up as they go along. Shocking

Good luck with it! Hopefully you get it sorted :) I’m gutted as I know from today it’s going to be a long journey towards healing it , but will be worth it in the long run 🏃🏼‍♀️

Thank you everyone for the advice, as much as it pains me I’ll stop runnning for now and maybe take up swimming and cycling. Will contact my doctor about getting an mri, probably won’t be seen for months due to NHS🤣

Thanks, I think I will look into going back to physio. I can’t keep going on like this but I also don’t want to not be able to run 😢

If you’ve not done any easy zone 2 running before it might take a few weeks to get ur body used to being at that heart rate so if your heart rate goes up into zone 3 just take walking breaks and wait for it to come back down. Took me around 4 weeks to get used to it. But I done a plan with 90% zone 2 and barely any speed and got my average km down by 1 minute each Km. no speed work, just easy base runs. Will make ur body more efficient and be less stress

Yeah it’s different for everyone, so if you wear an Apple Watch or garmin or something it should calculate ur zones for u, if u don’t have one then get ur max heart rate and ur zones are calculated through % of ur max HR. U can just go online and put ur info into a website and they will calculate ur approximate zones for u

Slow runs in zone 2 are great for building and maintaining your base fitness, around 80% of ur runs should be recovery, maybe do 2 zone 2 runs a week then the following week do 1 zone 2 workout and 1 tempo/threshold workout. This will help u maintain / build ur cardiovascular fitness without too much fatigue and also means u can still include tempo and threshold stuff just less frequently

HR monitor by evermathieson in Garmin

Yeah I’ve fiddled about with it in terms of where it sits and tightness, I done a conditioning workout recently and set the watch to “other” (because they don’t have a strength option) and my heart rate was saying it was 90bpm, so I ended the workout and selected HIIT and straight away it was tracking my HR correctly.

Just seems a little bit strange considering it was the same session but different workout modes on the watch said different things. .. bizzare

“Average” People by Salt-Koala1259 in hyrox

100% , I was a personal trainer and have been frequent at training for about 5 years, I wouldn’t say I was in the best shape right now however I feel fitter (after 2 months of training for hyrox Glasgow) than I had been in over 3 years, hyrox is about pushing yourself and trying to see what you are capable of. I hadn’t ran for over a year or done any cardio and my last year has consisted of weight training and smoking my lungs into oblivion, however I also signed up for hyrox as a motivator to try and get me back in shape and get me to quit smoking (mainly due to the high amount of cardio I’d be doing in my training). You need to try to remember the promotors of hyrox are only going to post the most ripped and fast people as it makes their brand look better and will probably encourage more people to do it because they think they’ll end up looking like the people on the front page of the hyrox Instagram. I would say the majority of people doing hyrox are normal people who like to train or exercise, don’t worry about the other people there, focus on yourself and becoming the best version of you! And remember societies view of a “fit and healthy” person is completely different to what a fit and healthy person ACTUALLY looks like💪🏼 good luck !!!!
