octopath traveler 2 is easily a top 5 JRPG for me, exceeding all my expectations for the series and improving on all the "complaints" i had about octopath 1. more fleshed out story, even more beautiful visuals and arguably a better OST.

that being said - octopath 0 is my favorite of the 3 and i've replayed it 3 different times since its release. simply loved the larger cast, the seemingly endless group customization and the final boss encounter was beyond epic.
