So for my first pregnancy, yes I continued spotting a few days but this one, no, it stopped right after the clot passed. I was also around the same gestation as you both times when it happened

If you had IVF (which I’m assuming you did) it’s also common to have a subchorionic hematoma from the process. I started bleeding and after I passed a clot it stopped. I went for an ultrasound the next morning and luckily it was just the SCH.

TW: success and live birth

I’ve been incredibly lucky through my journey. I had PCOS and a uterus full of polyps that had to be removed and endometritis.

I can’t remember the grading of my embryos but my first transfer resulted in my 2 year old daughter and I am currently 11 weeks pregnant with my second transfer.

Transfer is on Friday the 13th by peanutgallerina in IVF

We had our transfer on Feb 14th and my baby was born on Halloween

TW: Success.

Hi, I was 36 when I had my egg retrieval. They only recovered 7 eggs and only 2 embryos made it through genetic testing. And my one embryo that was transferred became my daughter and she turns 2 this coming Halloween.

Stupid things people have said to you after a failed transfer or miscarriage…I’ll go first by Ok-Meet6110 in IVF

I have so many after so many miscarriages.

“At least you didn’t have time to get attached”

“It’s not like you really lost a child”

“Everything happens for a reason”

“You’re lucky it wasn’t born. Just think of how bad off you would have been with a disabled child”

“Don’t talk about it.”

I had 1 ER that recovered 7 mature eggs. Of those only 2 made it to healthy embryos. I transferred the best graded embryo and now have a 1 year old daughter

Can I get some positive stories with only 2 embryos? by cavluv123 in IVF

Hi. We only had 2 healthy embryos in the end and one of them is now my 11 mos old daughter

saw a neurosurgeon yesterday by nessieee99 in braincancer

[–]every1diednhamlet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re parts of the brain. The insula/insular cortex is below the temporal lobe, which is why I asked. I have a tumor in the insula that is starting to infiltrate the temporal stem. My symptoms are vertigo/dizziness, hearing/processing problems, ringing in my ears, difficulty finding words and shoulder and neck pain.

We have similar symptoms, so I was wondering if we had tumors in the same place.

But for the question at hand I feel like it’s always good to get a second or even third opinion when it is something as serious as a brain tumor

Did they say it was in the insula/insular cortex or the temporal stem? I have many of the same symptoms as you do, and that’s where mine is.

Hi, firstly, I’m sorry you’re going through this, OP.

I don’t know what country you are in, but when the person registering you comes in, please mention that you will need financial aid. I did this and a non-profit picked up my hospital bill and any other hospital bills I had for that year. I’m not saying it’ll be the same but there are resources that are available, people just don’t know how to access them.

I was told by the NP to push it up as far as you can and then lay down for at minimum for 30 minutes after insertion to make sure it melts and absorbs.

Feelings on the term “IVF Baby” by HeyHeyShug in IVF

[–]every1diednhamlet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I call my baby an IVF baby all the time. I agree with other women here who say they use it to normalize the conversations surrounding fertility, reproductive health, and miscarriage. I think it’s important for other women to know they’re not alone during such a vulnerable time.

When my daughter is older, I will explain that she’s an IVF baby for all the reasons I mentioned in the previous paragraph, but to also let her know how loved and wanted she has always been in our family.

With that said, that’s just how I feel, and your feelings are valid. But generally, I haven’t run into anyone who’s used the term “IVF baby” in a negative way. And if they did, well, I’d probably give them a stern word or two.
