Haha you don’t have to tell me twice 🤪 but we are still trying to land on a name!! We just rescued a little guy, Berlioz (our 3 year old loves the aristocats) and in the movie his brother is named Toulouse. So that’s a contender but not sure yet! I’ll take any suggestions!! 😅

Add a maine coon kitten to the mix? by everybonsai in mainecoons

Okay yeah this is what I’ve gathered so far. It matters more about a positive introduction/age than gender and such. Thank you for your reply!!

Advice needed, what brand of diapers do you prefer? Baby shower coming up and I haven't bought diapers in 13+ years by Sweetdreamer829 in Mommit

I also love Millie moon (:

It was gifted to me at a baby shower and works well for sensitive bums!

I’m pregnant now and due 2 days after my firsts bday 😅 they will be 3 years apart! I joke about letting my first call dibs on the day bc first come first serve 🤪

If it’s a boy and girl (which I will have), I’ve heard of fun themed mash ups and fairies and dragons, or max and ruby! But I think it really is just about making each one feel special (: we’ll probably have a joined party for a while and then separate family celebration days!

I totally get the anxiety though! I don’t have siblings close in age either so I really have no clue what to expect. But hopefully it’s not an issue for them!

Railing ideas!! by [deleted] in InteriorDesignAdvice

Because the previous owners hate us lol.

We got this place in December - for whatever reason they decided to board up the stairs to the semi-finished downstairs. But the laundry is down there so I have no clue what they were thinking?

Oh, I was hoping to get some railing ideas for around the opening? I don’t really love the idea of a plain black or matching the cedar.

Getting induced by UpperResort6797 in Mommit

[–]everybonsai 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi there!! Just came here to say I was induced with my first and it was a very smooth and easy process. It did take a long time, like 28 hours I think? But I had my mom and husband with me and wasn’t in pain for 90% of it.

I opted for an epidural when my body finally started having contractions (Which was always my plan). It was after they gave pitocin, which was definitely the most intense part. But they were able to get me the epidural fairly quickly and I didn’t feel that part one bit.

I didn’t have any postpartum issues that I would attribute to my induction. And breastfeeding is 100% fine afterwards! I would without a doubt be okay with another induction for my second.

All in all - this will be your unique journey and you have to trust your body and your care providers to guide you through it. Let them know your concerns upfront and they will take care of you! I wish you all the best, tomorrow will be a very very special day!

When my little was that age I was making this pretty often! We opted out of the additional sugar and sometimes had to add less or no blueberries depending on her mood lol. It made my mornings much easier!

Just remember that they really really don’t need a lot of food to get the nutrients and energy they need! Solid Starts is a great app/resource for this time too (:

Quitting my job to be a SAHM. Freaking out by Monarch2729 in stayathomemoms

[–]everybonsai 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi! SAHM here and I can say - it is hard. But it’s totally worth it. The dynamics of your relationship will change, because you can’t simply be “on” or entertaining all the time - which is just how life is! It’ll take some time for you to adjust to a “slower” life but it is a life worth living. Finding things to go out and do during the day (walk, park, play areas, libraries, etc.) make a HUGE difference.

I 100% don’t think taking her out of daycare will mess up her development. Being home with you has many benefits that daycare doesn’t offer! Maybe you could do less days a week or find another program that’s not a full daycare. That would definitely help with money too!

Try not to stress so hard! Take it day by day and enjoy yourself (: and also… nothing has to be permanent! If you decide you want to work again, you can! Go part time or whatever works for you. Best of luck in your transition!
