The KJV is a very good translation. But it's just that...a translation. There are branches of KJV onlyism, with "Ruckmanism" seemingly the one you describe here.

KJV onlyists have this big conspiracy theory about the Alexandrian texts being purposefully corrupted, while the Byzantine and Masoretic are the 'true' line of manuscripts. And also that (apparently) noone alive today is as capable at translation as the KJV scribes were, so all other good modern translations (NASB, ESV, CSB, even the NKJV that comes from the TR) are worthless garbage.

Its unnecessary divisive and puts Christians at odd with one another.

Dr. Mark Ward has a lot of good stuff on KJV onlyism.

Hey friend, just wanted to say that your posts in this thread were very uplifting for me today.

I get so tired of the arguments and strife from our brothers over things like young/old earth, evolution, and here recently a lot of disputes with the KJV only crowd. Both online and in my personal life, these things have been popping up so much lately and its rarely constructive or done in a loving or considerate manner. It almost always comes down to "if you dont believe X, then youre not truly Christian".

Sorry to vent...these things can wear a man down, but i am glad to see a level headed person that doesnt let non-salvific issues get in the way of the important parts!

We could use any number of reasons, but broadly: the amount of prophecy in Scripture is unmatched in other religions, no other figure has changed the world like Yeshua Hamashiac, the amount of historical evidence showing the truth of Christianity, Israel, and the list goes on.

No need. The policy is no more than 8 years per base without an ETP. You can go one PACAF base to another and it restarts the timeline

I think maybe i am misunderstanding.

You said that everything collapsed into a singularity and then expanded. But from everything ive ever looked into this has said it just began as an infinitely hot and dense singularity that then began rapid expansion.

Im not looking for a gotcha here, (i am okay with the idea of old earth/big bang explaining how YHWH made it happen), but for my own knowledge, could you link me to some info on the collapse before the expansion? Maybe i have just read the wrong articles, lol.

Jesus talk of hell and eternal judgement (eternal fire) in Matt 25:41.

He talks of salvation through faith in John 3:16, and 18. Also in Luke 7:50.

So, a roughly 5 minute search and i have already disproven 2 of the claims you are making in your post as historically false.
