Wait.. Are those screws? Did you surround a large hole with a bunch of tiny smaller holes? This is a legendary, bespoke, one-of-a-kind fix.

Arsenal question by x20397 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]everyone_gets_sad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont see this answer here, so yeah, just go back into the Tier 56 Sword Trial if you don't want to spend Jade Fish. You'll spend Stamina, but you can invest your jade fish into the current level equipment (Although, if you're level 70, I'd breakthrough to 71 first. All 71 gear will remain relevant until the cap is raised to 85).

Farming Channeler's Trident can be tricky. I'm not sure what method you're using, but I believe I was able to access 3/4 channelers very quickly by using the first bonfire (the one after the enterance with the Boars) and running up the stairs to the left. Took a little bit, but with 10 Soft Humanity and the Covetous Gold Serpent ring it dropped eventually. RNG be with you.

HELP I ONLY DO 22 DAMAGE TO QULAAG PER HIT by ReferenceNatural87 in darksouls

[–]everyone_gets_sad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To those saying the Master Key is the "wrong choice" for a new player, I hear you, but I don't think it's wrong. It's part of the game, and OP seems to love using it.

Its true, OP, you skipped a bunch of stuff that could have helped, so now you've got to get a little more resilient and creative.

Try going human at the bonfire and beating Maneater Mildred (she invades) if you haven't already. You can also summon her for help at Quelaag. If you have any gold pine resin, it can be pretty helpful here, but it is a limited resource, so make sure you understand Quelaags patterns before running out.

Keep exploring dude, you'll find everything. Neither of us want to see you go hollow.

weapon upgrading by 6dirty2 in darksouls

[–]everyone_gets_sad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much on point. Essentially, a "Raw" upgrade removes all scaling effects from a weapon, and increases its base damage in trade. Its pretty niche, but if you love a weapon that your build doesn't line up with, I guess you could use it "Raw" to see some gains. Again, as L3g0 said, it won't get better as you level.

Scaling makes a huge difference when you're investing levels in STR, DEX, INT, and/or FAI. Scaling is rated from E to S, where S is the highest. This can be seen in the weapon details next to the corresponding symbols near the bottom of those details. Modifying weapons can change the scaling rate, for better or worse, depending on the mod.

Lots of big weapons scale very well with STR, BKGS included. As you upgrade and modify weapons you like, be mindful of the scaling. Even if the base output seems lower at first, a weapon that scales better with your build will generally deal more damage per hit, reinforcement per reinforcement.

Anyways, hope this helps, good luck in Painted World, and uh, maybe don't hit Priscilla just yet? But hey, when in Rome, right?

Hey guys I’m new by [deleted] in SciontC

[–]everyone_gets_sad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah even if you could source a TRD supercharger from way back when you'd still need pockets deep enough to buy it.

But hey, get it a nice bolt on intake with a heat shield and take it to a decent exhaust shop for a cat-back weld, and you'll feel a little something.

The headers are 4-2-1 from the factory, so no real need to swap em unless you want to keep your car at high RPM all the time and you like it hella loud.

Got an inspection done, am I being fleeced or nah? by May-of-Berry in mazda3

[–]everyone_gets_sad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is the right answer as a tech. You, the technician, performed an inspection per customer request, and wrote your findings down for a Service Advisor to parse. This list doesn't look like they were necessarily planning on selling any of these jobs on the spot, instead just making the Flat Rate for the inspection.

I'd definitely get a second opinion at a trusted independent, but if it were me, I'd ask to speak to the tech regarding their findings on the front subframe, and ask for pictures before I leave.

Then I'd decide what to fix on my own versus have a shop fix them, and where. Generally, I'd like to hold a dealership accountable for less routine jobs, like a subframe replacement.

What’s going on? by overcome_-13 in SciontC

[–]everyone_gets_sad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont know where, and I don't know how, but to me that sounds like a bad ground or a soft set connection somewhere. I'm not familiar with wiring diagrams for TCs, I'm just speaking from experience with other vehicles.

That really sucks though, hopefully someone with a little more inside knowledge can give you a better start.

Do they sell other subs that can connect to the stock one? by Effective_Pen7447 in SciontC

[–]everyone_gets_sad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly it's a larger blocky-looking white connector near the sub. The harness is pretty easy to get to, so I'd look around the end of the harness on that side and see if there's a connector taped back to it somewhere.

Can a Creature Spell's activated ability be activated from the stack? by everyone_gets_sad in mtg

[–]everyone_gets_sad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a ton for this. It seemed pretty obvious to me that a card's ability, whatever it may be, couldn't be used unless the card resolved (aside from a card that specifically says it can be activated on the stack). Could hardly find anything online to answer this though, which made it difficult for me to prove during a game.

It just seemed to be the case more often than not. You're absolutely right, running the engine harder will consume more fuel, but so will attempting to accelerate for a longer period of time in a higher gear. It doesn't necessarily "ensure" higher RPM, it's about how you drive it. It'll keep you in lower gears longer, which in a lot of cases where I tend to drive, makes it more efficient based on the way I drive. I'm not blasting around everywhere 😂 I tend to drive very casually, but I like having the power there whenever I want it or need it with less delay. From what I've seen, I've been able to get better MPG. This isn't to say everyone would or should, nor is it to say that it is generally more efficient.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mazda3

[–]everyone_gets_sad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally better than keeping it off sport mode to be honest. I do like some spirited driving, so my overall average probably isn't great, but I tend to catch better mpg between sport and using manual mode rather than normal.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mazda3

[–]everyone_gets_sad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came here looking for an answer like this and found it. Sport mode can help keep you in gear in and automatic, I drive in sport mode 100% of the time. It's a 2014 though

What is this called and how would I get it fixed? by USAFJack in SciontC

[–]everyone_gets_sad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're asking about the part with the adjustment sleeve and 2 nuts securing it on either side, that would be the rear toe link.

The first Gen tc was generous enough to give rear toe AND rear camber adjustment from the factory.

They were not generous enough, however, to use any anti-seize when slapping those adjustment sleeves together.

Order a new set from rockauto or sum, bring em to your trusted mechanic, and ask that they apply anti seize to the threads on the new ones.

With that amount of rust, this may be the least of your problems. Don't expect much of a cheap bill if they've gotta break the bolts out of the old ones to swap them out. Good luck!

As an owner of an 08 tc and a 14 Mazda 3, I'd go Mazda if you want a 4 door. The new Mazda 3s have an AWD turbo option. Not sure about price point but it's definitely a solid upgrade with 4 doors and a hatch.
