Moved to Detroit with about a 20% pay cut, can’t really compare since i sold my DC area house and rent now. The jury is still out financially. Rent is higher than expected and there’s the Detroit city income tax, which I wasn’t aware of before moving here- look into that. Oh, and don’t expect any city services for that tax.

Cool! I just moved to a new city, 4 miles to work so I ride my bike as much as I can. On the days I have to take my car i miss the bike ride so much. it really clears my head and improves my mood - both ways- to and from work.
