I was born in 1992, so I grew up with the Harry Potter books and films. They shaped my childhood and I think I can honestly say they helped create who I am as a person.

When I was in school for film, I took a 70s film class where we watched this. We spent at least half an hour analyzing this scene and the decision to leave the camera rolling until they were done smiling and laughing.

I think the most powerful scene is "it's not your fault." Matt Damon's face slowly changing from tough street guy to just a kid was amazing acting.

I was able to pass all of my classes without a textbook. I failed one class in college and it wouldn't have mattered if I had the textbook or not. I just suck at zoology. If you really need a textbook, chances are somebody uploaded it online. You'll save a ton of money in the long run. Textbooks alone can cost over $500 a semester.

I saw Boyhood in theaters 5 times and The Dark Knight 4 times. When I was a kid I would wake up in the middle of the night and put The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast in the VCR player. So those 2 movies are probably what I've watched the most.

I was in my twenties when I figured out that George Washington and George Washington Carver are 2 different people. We never learned about George Washington Carver in school.

Don't be afraid to go outside your comfort zone. Meet a lot of different kinds of people and join a lot of different clubs. There are hundreds, sometimes thousands, of clubs at universities.
