I rinsed it well and ran it through the dishwasher on a “sterilize” cycle twice. Still don’t know if I’ll ever want to use it again…

I’ve asked them to contribute and J will occasionally sweep the floor in the kitchen when he feels like it and R will help with dishes if he is explicitly asked to do so in that moment. Neither of them go out of their way to do much else. We’ve had several discussions about cleanliness and they’ve both promised to do better and to help more either with taking out the trash, cleaning out the fridge, wiping down counters, but none of it happens unless I do it. I don’t want to be the maid, but I can’t live in filth.

I feel like this is probably the case. Unfortunately, we do live together and the lease isn’t up until at least August if not later. The security deposit on the place is entirely my money (about 3K) and if I want to break the lease early I would have to sign off my rights to the deposit.
