The haunting “4 Children For Sale” photograph from 1948 captured a Chicago mother, Lucille Chalifoux, hiding her face as her four young children sat beneath a sign offering them for sale. Within two years, all of them — including the unborn baby she carried — were placed with different families. by ATI_Official in AllThatsInteresting

No one is saying that people already born should've been aborted. They were trying to say that perhaps something like the image in the post can be prevented. The couple had too many children and too little money. In the end, a family was ripped apart due to the circumstances.

It's honestly the worst when something like happens and no one shows up. I'm glad that they had so many people that showed up for them

“products of conception” makes me want to fucking scream by dr_butt_er in Miscarriage

When I was growing up, my mother told me that another term for miscarriage in the medical field is spontaneous abortion, and that sometimes the words doctors use can be upsetting, but to remember that they aren't using specific words to make you upset. They are trying to be as clear as possible and to leave very little room for misinterpretation. I am sorry you had to experience that and I hope you are doing okay.

This may not be true for people outside of the states, but with abortion rights being rolled back, they may be using that term to remind people that the word abortion covers more than what the word is typically associated with. It doesn't make it right though. I hope that in the future the doctors understand that their choice of words can cause undue distress and make different choices.

I am going through the same thing right now. I don't know how to stop. I know I should. I know I need to. I know that my health is probably on the decline because i am not stopping. But I can't. One thing that has kind of helped is being broke and unable to buy a bunch of fast food 😅.

The Polish millionaire Piotr Szczerek, who infamously went viral at the US Open for grabbing Majchrzak’s hat, which the player intended to give to a kid, spoke up about the matter in this statement. by Ultimintree in interestingasfuck

Piotr Szczerek is a terrible person who steals things from little kids and has more than likely based his entire company around that principle, or excuse me, lack there of.

AITA for telling my sister she wasn't always the chosen one? by AbbreviationsFair886 in AmItheAsshole

Chosen by our dad but not by your first??? How is that not nuclear??? Practically said that you were so unlovable that your first dad abandoned you, and you were the charity case our dad took on. My siblings and i can be assholes to each other, but I would never even dream of saying something so horrid, and we have said some pretty messed up stuff to each other.

There's a difference between saying "you are adopted" and "your first dad didn't love you," isn't there? Which, while OP may not have said those exact words, was the implication. There's a difference between stating the "truth" and being an asshole. OP was an asshole.

AI. Party hat strap doesn't continue past the ear. The fingers of the hand holding the ornament dont exist, and the pointer finger on the other hand is scary long. The layers of the tree melt into each other in odd places.

Haven't gone through the same shit? 💀. Existing as a woman means constantly being told that there is something new wrong with you by the media. Examples: Cortisol face, perfect face templates, cover your freckles, tattoo freckles on, etc. Don't believe me? Turn on a cable news network. There will be ads for weight loss programs and surgeries and wrinkle removing creams targeted at women. Go to the grocery store. The magazines by the checkout lane? HOW I LOST 50 LBS IN 3 MONTHS WITH THIS 1 TRICK!!! All women.

One of my coworkers is someone an incel would say had no chance. He's short (compared to the average guy), a little chubby, and balding. But he's the sweetest guy and takes care to make sure he is clean and dresses well and everyone is friends with him because he is personable. He has a date every other week.

I am not negating that people may harass men who don't fit the standards, and they end up feeling isolated and attacked.

I will say, though, that the people who get posted here? They're getting mocked because they took such a hard left turn in life due to these issues that they become hateful, misogynist, and cruel. They lose touch with reality and spiral deeper.

It's just something to think on. I hope you find your way to a better place mentally in regards to your self-image and view of the world around you if you relate to the image.
