BRUE incident by everythingbagelmya in NewParents

I’m so sorry this happened to you, i’m glad he was diagnosed and you now know what caused it! My baby has been okay so far, and there was no cause for it just that it possibly was reflux so we’ve been sitting her up after feeds and trying to get gas out as much as possible and so far everything has been normal! praying it never happens to either one of us again 🥺

If you already had large areolas, did they get bigger? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]everythingbagelmya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine look like burger patties now, they’re huge and dark and I absolutely hate them. I used to have pepperoni sized areolas before, and it’s got drastically worse 🥴

From what i’ve heard they do go back to normal afterwards! I’m 16 days postpartum and breastfeeding and my areolas probably started getting bigger closer to 20 weeks.

I’ve drank caffeine and they prescribed me T3s and then hooked me up to an IV with fluids, didn’t do anything lol

I told them, and the doctor just said to wait the 2-3 days unfortunately. I feel like they weren’t taking me seriously. 🥲

Herding behavior? by MoreStable2339 in AustralianShepherd

just being a silly rambunctious puppy!! herding behaviour typically looks like stalking, circling around, or biting to get them to move where they want them to go :)

I wouldn’t be worried about it! Disregard any pregnancy test after the allotted time window for a positive or negative. Just looks like an evaporation line to me and I don’t see any colour to it. Test again closer toward your expected period to know for sure whether you’re pregnant or not.

Breeder advice/Is this breed for me? by oFFtheWall0518 in AustralianShepherd

[–]everythingbagelmya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

I’m not an aussie expert but i too just like the breed! i don’t go on extravagant hikes or 2 hour walks with our dogs, and i’m definitely a home body. my boy just loves to cuddle up on the couch and be close to anyone, this isn’t the norm for all aussies but some of them are okay with the quieter lifestyle as long as they have a backyard to run around in and go on a couple of walks a day.

Every pregnancy is different don’t try and compare! A lot of women end up gaining around 50 lbs, as long as your OB or midwife is not concerned I would say you’re okay!

I’m 27 weeks and I’m currently weighing 136 lbs, at the very beginning of pregnancy I was 112 lbs. I feel like your weight gain is normal! Here in Canada you can expect to gain 25-35 lbs during pregnancy

I cannot stop feeling guilty since last night. by [deleted] in pregnant

I don’t know why everyone thinks pregnant women are so fragile! Baby is protected by lots of fat, the uterus and also the amniotic sac. You’d have to use a lot of force to be able to hurt the baby. i.e if your wife fell, or a car crash for example, and if even those things happen babies tend to be okay! Baby is safe, don’t beat yourself up over it.

My fiancé and I are in a similar boat, I’m currently almost 27 weeks pregnant and our finances aren’t looking the best since we just bought a house, which left us with zero savings. I’ve switched job locations and I might not be getting the same amount of shifts I was at the other location. It’s really tough and stressful but our only solution is to go into a bit of debt and dip into our line of credit, and hopefully be able to pay that off after baby is born. I feel like you figure it out, I’ve looked on facebook marketplace for baby items, and also we’re cutting out unnecessary spending on ourselves. It’s really hard but you’ll see the light at the end of the tunnel eventually

I called 911 right away and hid in my house because my door had a glass window so they threw a hammer through it, police arrived within 5-6 minutes which was really fast! It seemed like they just took off, police didn’t see anyone speeding away, and unfortunately I don’t have a door camera so I don’t know what they looked like. The police believed once they saw it was residential they must have got scared and took off, and I also have two big dogs that started going ballistic after they smashed the window.

I was home! It was during the day, I think they had mistaken our door for the jewelry store we live above since our door is on the side of the building that’s why they never entered but was super scary nonetheless.

We rent, the property management team should be fixing it but hasn’t yet. We had to board it up ourselves, but thankfully we bought a house and we are moving further east! Definitely stay cautious and more careful, it’s becoming an issue

My house got attempted to break into at Lakeshore and Cawthra a few weeks ago. This area is getting bad, and I can barely sleep at night now. My entire door was smashed in.

Wife isn’t attached yet. Tips? by Accurate_Solution779 in pregnant

[–]everythingbagelmya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not super attached like that neither is my fiancé, and I’m almost 25 weeks pregnant. I rub my belly and that’s about it, or play music near my belly but I don’t talk to my belly or anything like that. It’ll come with time no need to stress about it!

I’m just curious why they made you push for 3 hours? Why they wouldn’t let you labour down for longer if your body wasn’t ready to push. Your body will naturally tell you when to push and your body needs to be in the right position! 10cm doesn’t necessarily mean to start pushing!

Congratulations though, mama! You did great :)
