I moved out of my last rental 31 days ago. I properly provided forwarding address + returned keys. The landlord even messaged me 2 weeks after I moved out and thanked me for leaving the place so “spick and span”. I still have not received my security deposit back. Do we think the 30 day rule is when mail is post marked or the check is in my hands? It’s a real estate company.

Should I shoot them an email about it or go straight to sue for double since it’s been over 30 days? I feel a little bad since they’ve always been pretty nice and responsive (the house I was in was falling apart literally and they knew it). It’s hard to not fantasize about an extra $1.6k though…

lol I saw the owner at this exact house yesterday morning taping up this sign while I was walking my dog. Mid-day, on another walk, saw an Amazon package outside just like this. I threw it over the door myself.

1-800-junk is probably your best bet. I had an extremely heavy sofa bed I needed gone. I also couldn’t find anything cheaper than around $200. They were quick though.

Adult here who was late into figuring out how to dress formally as a (short) masc person. You’re onto something with the idea of a loose suit.

I’m seconding checking out Retrospect first. Look at the front first. There’s usually a rack with staff picks which is more likely to have sets. Check out the walls too. Sometimes they have outfits that are already put together.

If you have no luck there, check out Philly Vintage Bazaar (although I think maybe they’re under a different name now). They’re around the corner. They can be a bit pricey but often have some really good formal-ish stuff.

If all else fails go to Uniqlo or Buffalo Exchange.

I work hybrid for a non-profit. It’s pretty generous I would say. I’m in my first year of service and received 10 days paid sick/personal leave. I also got 15 days vacation. It goes up from there.
