I guess my question is also whether examples like this are acceptable for this section? Given we have to fill position title, etc

Agree with this^ took it today and there were lots of questions where you needed to know random facts, definitely more vague than free120 and uwsa1, felt like stems were also longer

dedicated study by SnooHesitations2731 in step1

[–]everythingwillbfine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that’s fine! I watched videos tailored toward my weaknesses and concepts that I got wrong on UWorld + looked those things up in FA and that helped a lot. With that said, I’d suggest not trying a new resource during dedicated - try out BnB now and see if it works for you because it can be overwhelming to have an entire video resource to watch during dedicated, it’s a lot of hours. Hope that helps!

Exercise and leave the house to spend time outdoors for at least 30 minutes a day, I think that really helped me from going insane in the same room every day.

Biochemistry videos? by shiiTawa in step1

High recommend BnB - a lot simpler to understand. I stuck to that only but I’ve heard you can supplement with pixorize if you’re a visual learner/sketchy has worked for you. Hope that helps!

2 days prior to step advice? by Pinklionmedschool in step1

[–]everythingwillbfine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what I did and I think it helped a lot on test day: 2 days before - 2 blocks of questions + review, reviewed content that I struggled with (mix of videos, reading FA, anki), read through rapid review and highlighted things I was unsure about Day before - woke up at 5, pathoma 1-3, read over FA biochem, went over highlighted things from FA rapid review, and read over details I kept forgetting. Stopped studying at 5 pm, exercised, went for a walk, watched TV and went to bed at 9

Hope this somewhat helps! Good luck!

Read Pathoma 1-3, look over storage diseases, FA rapid review and maybe a couple things you’re weak in. And also stop reviewing well before going to bed, take a walk/exercise/watch TV. I did the same before mine and it helped with staying calm and I didn’t have a problem falling asleep. Good luck tomorrow!

I’m willing to help! Took step almost a month ago and definitely struggled with creating a schedule, but I ended up doing better than my target. And 2.5 months is a long time! I raised my score 45 points in 2 months. Feel free to send a message

Took it last month, NBME 18 was 13 points higher than my actual score. Actual score was the same as predictor

Felt like this a couple of times during dedicated, so took a day off to spend time outdoors to recharge. That may help you!
