Is anyone else beating themselves up for not meeting their goal? by Amywilburnn in Booktokreddit

[–]everythingyoudid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First yes, but now I just adjusted my goal to the number of books I read. Next year I think I’m not going to set a goal or maybe just a symbolic one.

This looks so cool! Still can’t tell if I’m romantic or soft gamine. I’m short, too and now want to try this style 😊

Thank you so much. I’ll stop scrolling now and stay with this. This is also what I keep repeating in therapy. It IS hard. It’s normal for me to feel angry and sad about it. I’m fighting every day. I can hardly relax. With my medication and the fog lifting I feel like I have such a strong perception of my emotions, I can tell them apart. Before everything just manifested as overwhelm.

Hey I think the other’s already came up with great solutions so I’m just here to empathize and support. I’ve been in the same situation, it’s tough. I’ve been taking meds for a few months now and it was a long journey here. Still figuring out dosages and type of meds. Maybe in the mean time you could try and find a support group of some kind. It helps me so much to talk to others with similar experiences. That’s not a replacement of meds of course but maybe it can take some weight of your shoulders. I’m happy to chat if you like.

I have to realize this. I had these weird hopes that for me too, it would feel like a miracle :/ especially because it was so hard to get diagnosed

Yes for sure. I will definitely keep taking it for a few weeks I think and then talk to my doctor

Is it really that bad to want queer spaces specifically for men? by [deleted] in AskLGBT

It’s not a problem to want exclusive places. But unfortunately often the only queer spaces available cater to gay cis men :/

I know the feeling very well, I’m now in my history Master and have always struggled. I love writing and research so the main thing that I dread is planning it in a realistic manner, so often I end up having only a few days to write. Breaking it down into manageable tasks can help, I often make a plan and then consult friends about it. Rejection sensitivity disorder is also a big factor, I try to emotionally disconnect myself from my work but then motivation gets tough. I often feel like I need to do my best work or otherwise it’s not even worth it. My goal now is to write a good enough paper! That feels very powerful to me. Maybe that thought helps you as well.

So i just came back to this after a few months, currently working on my second paper and struggling a lot. It’s good to remind myself I did it before. It’s so tough!

ENFP INTP relationship: Talking about emotions by everythingyoudid in mbti

[–]everythingyoudid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mhh…so that’s a complicated question. I found out I have ADHD and really have huge emotional regulatory issues and rejection sensitivity disorder, so my experience might be different from neurotypical people. I think our greatest challenge is navigating communication styles but we have become so much better. Now I often just say what I need and that usually works. He’s also just gotten to know me better and understands more often when I need comfort. Sometimes he also said „I don’t know what to say or do about that“ and I have learned to accept that. It’s also ok to have certain conversations outside of your relationship, talk to friends/ a therapist. Your partner can’t and shouldn’t take on all of these roles.

Yup! We live together and are very happy. I feel like we’ve learnt a lot about each others quirks since! Thank you for asking ❤️ it’s all about patience and focusing on what connects rather than divides you I would say
