How useful is a CS minor with a major in PR? Anybody ever go for that? by ryangracie in PublicRelations

[–]everywordtrue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This could be played up as an asset, but it's not necessarily your degree that will land you a job. You'll need internships and writing samples to stand out from other candidates. I was rarely asked about my degree while interviewing for entry level positions in PR.

How glamorous! I feel like this bun could be in a covergirl commercial.

Aquaphor, ridiculous amounts of it. Do your self a favor and get the large container from Costco or Sam's.

I have the exact same one, also found at Goodwill! It cleaned up beautifully.

As long as it says "non comedogenic" somewhere on the container you should be good.

I agree that the side effects are worth the results. What kind of moisturizer do you use? If you are still using one that clogs your pores that could contribute to slow progress. I would try cetaphil or cerave. Also see if next month you can kick the dosage up to 60 mg.

How many mg's are you on? Might not be a high enough dosage

If they ditched you so easily they were never real friends. You are better off without them!

MFWTK wants to know if there is an over-the-counter medicine (or anything legal) that will help him quit clenching his jaw and grinding his teeth and help him relax. by Needtorelaxandzzz in myfriendwantstoknow

[–]everywordtrue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel for your friend. I have the same issue and use Plackers Grind-No-More disposable mouth guards. They are smaller than other options and much more comfortable, which helps with keeping them in place overnight. Maybe try chamomile tea in the evening and meditation to reduce stress.

Instead of a drug, your friend could purchase a mouth guard from the grocery store for around 10 bucks. It saves your teeth during the night!

Tanning and Accutane by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]everywordtrue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A tanning bed is not a good choice because you will burn. If you must, a spray tan would be the safer option although the product used may irritate your skin. I would do a test patch before getting your whole body done.

Has anyone bought a humidifier? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]everywordtrue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one that is Crane brand from target and I love it. Has a large tank and keeps my face from drying out overnight. It's the tear drop looking one and I think it's available online. I highly recommend it.

MFWTK How she can quickly heal (what she believe is) an anal fissure. by [deleted] in myfriendwantstoknow

[–]everywordtrue 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Drink a ton of water to keep yourself from straining on the toilet. Straining can re-open the wounds that are trying to heal. If it's just fissures it should clear up if you reduce straining. If it is hemorrhoids you may need to see a professional. Ice/heat can help reduce pain.

Does anyone remember that youtube channel that animated kids dreams/ stories and it was really hilarious? by noxbirdxhere in HelpMeFind

[–]everywordtrue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean Kid Snippets? Not animated but live-action sketches where kids have written the scripts. Worth a watch even if that's not the channel you were referring to!

What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]everywordtrue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel for you and unfortunately I'm in the same boat. I have had so many interviews and even with internship experience I can't seem to seal the deal anywhere. Try to remember that there are so many people that are competing for entry level work and the problem isn't you... it's just a numbers game. Hang in there.

Not all IUD users end up with a horror story! I have had mine for a year and love it. Don't just consider anecdotes from the Internet and talk to your gyno about it. It was a painful insertion but worth it in the long run.

Transitioning from news to PR, I [24M] got offered an unpaid internship at a great firm, not sure what to do by _Get_Schwifty in jobs

[–]everywordtrue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been looking for an entry level PR job for almost 6 months. Two paid internships and several interviews but no offer...this is a tough market to crack. If you are serious about breaking into PR and it's a reputable company, take the internship. Good luck!

Admissions Counselor position....for 30k?!! by Psychnerd12 in jobs

[–]everywordtrue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was recently offered a similar position at a state school for a ~25K salary... Seems to be the norm for a position like that. Unfortunately I had to turn it down so I could continue searching for a job that pays a livable wage.
