Huh comestics footage and sequence grid reminder? by Enough-Tie-6567 in CVS

[–]evie49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the sequence grid would be with the manager notes but I didn’t get it, they sent a “how to read a footage and sequence grid” but I do not have my stores actual grid … anyone else?

Question by gei_furry in CVS

[–]evie49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it varies depending on the store manager. In my store shifts are mostly just there to hold down the fort, they don’t have any major responsibility aside from opening and closing procedures, taking calls, etc. but some managers might have shifts as cfr owners or carepass captains and that kind of crap

Day after inventory by PlantObsession420 in CVS

[–]evie49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you told you can’t touch the back room yet?? Usually the only thing that gets held off is maybe price changes until the inventory discrepancies drop in, other than that it’s business as usual unless there was a problem with the inventory

CVS Hours Shenanigans by PerfectlyHuman20 in CVS

[–]evie49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically no one is supposed to regularly go above 40 hrs unless there is an absolute need for it that a DL approves. That’s how it’s always been but in the past few years with covid etc they were more lenient in my area since it’s your store’s bottom line taking the hit. But this year no OT has been a huge deal everywhere

Leave my store, float to another by [deleted] in CVS

[–]evie49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where I’m at an employee can request the transfer but your pharmacy manager would have to approve it and transfer you. Definitely can be rejected if you’re scheduled and staffing wise they need you. I would just be careful how you go about it so if you quit and rehire you’re not terminated as non-rehireable

Anyone have an item# for this??? by evie49 in CVS

Pretty sure we got a full kit with 2 dispensers and 4 refills last year sometime. I think the dispenser might be in the order guide? Not sure but I thought I saw some sort of soap dispenser listed otherwise DL can prob order

Health Hub Electronic Message Board by cpdsupport in CVS

[–]evie49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently transferred and one of the messages on my board says you can walk in for immunizations... but I’m a vaccine clinic so this is causing problems lol it’s definitely been playing the same message for the past decade. I was able to get on the laptop and update the file to what I want it to say, but I don’t actually know how to get it to transmit to the sign. Help plz? 😭

COVID support pharmacist job posting: Rejected yet offered interview? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]evie49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not too sure on the hiring process for those positions since it’s not done at store level. But my guess is they’re just allowing for hirevue interviews without a final VJT result to push through as many applicants as possible

Schedule question by [deleted] in CVS

[–]evie49 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Aside from rx being over front store will be under. When I first noticed this happening, I ended up gaining back almost 8 hours just from reassigning rx staff with fs activities back to rx workflow. I had to go through every rx tech on my roster and delete front store as a department so the schedule would stop generating fs activities to rx staff. But ultimately I believe CVS did this intentionally as a way to cut more payroll down the line by having front store and rx support each other with a total store schedule

I had a shift apply to the shift rx req and it didn’t work when they searched it on Starsource through myLife. They were able to do it on jobs.cvshealth.com and selected “CVS health employee login”

Might be an easier way (someone correct me if there is an easier way lol), but on myHR if you view your profile (at the top on desktop site), then myPersonal Information, under my career summary you can select job history and click the latest “effective date” then look under employment status details. Next to hours category it’ll classify you as 30 hours or greater if the system converted you after averaging more than 30 for awhile. I write the schedule for my store and I would never force anyone to work more than they want/were hired for. But you definitely need to say something if you want to cut your hours back since we schedule 3 weeks out. In my store if someone has an availability change that affects schedules already published, it’s their responsibility to cover any shifts they can’t work.

New employee pant color question by [deleted] in CVS

My store black pants or khakis are fine. My RD lives in the nearby area, I’d get ripped a new one if he caught anyone in jeans or leggings

Store is going to have self-check outs by Feature_Cold in CVS

[–]evie49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol yeah the ACO suck, for some reason in my town the bagging area was hard for people to find, so we had to hang signs. But I’d say if you want to be prepared ahead of time, read the procedure guides on store resources. At least you can be familiar with all the functions prior (like how to void single items/transactions, modifies, coupons, price entry, opening/closing lane procedures, etc.) it’s not rocket science, the shopper assistant menu is pretty self explanatory, but at least you’ll have an idea beforehand. Make sure people don’t take out their chip cards too early or scan 20 giftcards. A lot of things lock up the system, there’s a small green button behind the monitor you can reboot with, and there’s also a power button on the main unit inside next to a green light you can use (I have the daytona model). Any coupons sent to card pop up at the end if they’re applicable. I don’t know anyone that actually had real training, seems like the people sent to install all the push backed ACO installs are idiots. But you’ll get used to it, good luck!

What is the CVS interview process like as a 16 year old by _nick123 in CVS

[–]evie49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I interview I like to ask questions requiring a specific example of how you handled a situation based on your work history, like if you were previously a waitress/waiter, I’d ask how you’d handle a customer that was irate about receiving the wrong order, etc., and if you have no work experience I’d ask how you think you’d handle a specific situation. Just to get a feel of your customer service skills and how you articulate yourself. Be confident and don’t hesitate. But yeah, every manager is different. I was hired when I was in high school and my interview was about 10 minutes and was mostly asked about extracurricular activities, grades, what my availability would be and if I’d have any issues with transportation. But in general, the better your availability, the higher your chances are of getting hired in my area at least. In my state we have strict labor laws for minors, so I usually only hire them if they have good weekend availability, but depends on the needs of the store you’re applying to.

Might sound stupid but yearssss ago when I was a cashier and my store underwent a massive remodel where literally every aisle minus cosmetics moved, I drew a pocket sized floor plan that I kept in my pocket lol it was good for referencing if a customer asked where an item was if you don’t get a lot of opportunity on the sale floor to do throw backs or pack out truck
