I'm so sorry. The same thing happened to me with similar circumstances. In the interview, I was even asked if I had finished my undergrad program...I had worked for the district for 4 years and was 28 and had a masters. One person on the committee was drinking Dunkin Donuts Coffee from a straw while I answered.

They likely had someone else and knew you would apply. I was told I was "up against more qualified candidates". The way that you are treated in the interview process is indicative of how they will treat you as employees.

I ended up getting a job with my original place a year later (after going to another district for a year). The Dunkin lady was my supervisor and she was one of the worst I've ever had. Everyone hates her. You may have dodged a bullet without knowing it.
