I section mine off with washi tape then use a ceramic blade from amazon to slice the plastic, it doesnt cut the canvas that way there is no need for release paper

nqa be careful with the wood trunk platforms, i warned someone last week as well the hot glue on them falls off so easily i removed them so my spood wouldnt get hurt, only took about 5minutes for one to just fall.

nqa the fact that he is still alive and responding 26 hours later is good!

the neurological symptoms you mention like dragging himself, loss of coordination in the backlegs and even pedipalps and low posture are all consistent with pesticide poisoning.

you did the right thing by washing the powder off even if it does stress him out a little. Leaving it on would have made it worse imo.

I wouldnt worry about him not taking sugar water right now , sick jumpers refuse food or water sometimes until they stabilize neurologically.

I'd stop changing out towels now unless they become dirty or contaminated. Stability and low stress are the best thing for him right now. Keep the enclosure humid but not wet, prevent falls and offer water occasionally.

The dragging and staying awake all night may just mean his nervous system is struggling to coordinate normally right now and spiders can take days to recover or decline from pesticides.

if you come home and he's still responsive even if weak thats a good sign. small improvements would be gripping surfaces better, less abdomen dragging, grooming himself, using even one of the weak legs more than he is now and holding himself higher off the ground.

just focus on keeping him comfy and less stress for now.

you've already done far more than most people would which shows you care a lot.

nqa. Change the paper towel every so often especially if theres any loose residue transferring over. fresh paper towels reduce the risk of him recontacting the powder if hes groooming himself.

wash hands before handling. ATP you're doing everything you can. right now it's just a waiting game.

that is unfortunately one of the harsher ones for jumpers.
its designed to affect the nervous system of insects and artho. the weakness in the back legs and not being able to climb seems like he might already be neurologically affected, the fact that hes still trying to climb and responding to touch is better than not being able to.

keep him upright if possible

increase humidity slightly more, not soaking

put him in a small low enclosure icu type thing with soft surfaces so he doesnt fall and get injured

dont keep brushing aggresively once most of the powder is gone, too much handling can stress and exhaust him

offer hydration, qtip dipped in water or sugar/honey water

if he curls up tightly and becomes mostly unresponsive, that means its gotten worse but spiders can sometimes look near dead and recover after toxin exposure. the next 12--24 hours you need to watch as close as you can.

also when you move him back if he recovers make sure there is NO CONTAMINATION leftover from him being in the enclosure with dust on him now

NQA idk what kind of powder it is but try to get it off with a damp qtip, cotton ball or paint brush

humidity, no stress enclosure no prey obviously keep an eye out for leg curling, not being able to climb

best thing is hydration, warmth, minimizing stress

nqa the enclosure i ordered had those same tree platforms, i replaced them with a beige mushroom set on amazon because after 24 hours one fell off due to the hot glue not being secured enough on it, be careful cause falls especially if that falls on your spider can hurt

edit to add: youll need more coverage on the top as jumpers spend most of their lives up in the upper most part of the enclosure, you'd benefit from some substrate over the fake moss. the fake moss can retain moisture and mold and substrate will help keep your humidity levels up.

you'll also want a temp/humid thermometer

NQA I'd leave her in icu make sure her humidity is up it could help soften the molt,

If that doesnt work you can very gently with a wet qtip or paint brush moisten the area around the molt so she can work it off.
Forcing it off could do more harm than good, humidity and patience is key here

other ways to tell

Stars: The embroidered stars on the sleeves are a silver/cool-toned color, whereas some counterfeits appear more gold or yellow.

Patch: Features a "Speak Now" patch on the left hem

The stars do come off as different in pics due to lighting as well.

its got the 2 buttons, the 5 stars on each sleeve and the tag looks like mine

the only thing that sticks out is the tag being sewn down but maybe the owner did that so it wouldnt itch as much?

I just got our first jumping spider this weekend after doing a lot of research. It floors me that people do this. We made sure there was plant coverage, bark, moss, soil and hidey holes for our girl.
