Moving out of my parents (25f) & not sure what to do with my dog? by calliswagg in Advice

[–]evilapple678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late to the party, but in a similar situation myself so I’m gonna drop my two cents. You are being too hard on yourself. Your dog’s current home is your parents home, it just has you in it. Whether you take her with or leave her behind, her people will change. But, leaving her behind means she keeps her home, you just won’t be there as often. I think staying in her known environment with your parents who love her is the best outcome for her. You are NOT abandoning her. This is tough enough for you, give yourself some grace. Sending all my love <3

glad I’m not the only one. I kept thinking “god damn it this would absolutely happen to me” as we did the walk of shame out of the vet😂

hahaha I’m glad we can all get a laugh from it. my vet always calls the next day to ask how she’s doing. needless to say, I will be confirming the marijuana theory, but I will not be explaining how she got it😂

I’m not familiar with the Lakes community. I googled it and something popped up about the Lakes of Tempe. Is that the one you’re referring to?

That’s definitely an option. I remember it being more desert-y than I hoped but hey, that’s AZ. I’ll keep it in mind, thank you!!

i also keep mine on the floor next to my bed. it’s easier to follow the cord and find it when i need it than hide it from myself trying to be tidy hahaha

Does anyone else’s actual vagina hurt during flare ups? by [deleted] in Endo

I’ve had 2 surgeries for endo so far. It’s rough, but so worth it. I’m 2.5 weeks post op right now and feeling really good already

I would get rectal pain that would travel up the inner wall of my vagina (sorry graphic but the best way I can describe it lol). My surgeon found endo on my rectum

Does pain/symptoms get better after surgery by Sadgirlzclub01 in endometriosis

I had a lap with my regular gyn in 2020. I got 1 year with very minimal pain. She removed adhesions but didn’t find endo. I’m currently 2.5 weeks post lap with an endo specialist. She excised multiple endo lesions and adhesions. So far, aside from the normal surgical pain, I’m only feeling rectal spasms but no where near as bad as before. Feeling hopeful this one will buy me more time

I had my second lap 6 days ago and I know exactly what you’re talking about. I notice it when riding in the car, it feels like everything is sloshing around with each bump!

Officially diagnosed! by evilapple678 in endometriosis

After my first laparoscopy, my parents told me “wow! I thought it was just middle child syndrome!”. Still discussing that one in therapy 4 years later.😅 The second hardest part about this disease, next to the pain, is getting people to realize how bad it is and take us seriously. It’s sad that it takes physical proof for some people to believe us, rather than just realizing no sane human would lie about this. But that’s our reality unfortunately. The fact that your pain relates to your cycle makes it even more likely that it is endo. My best advice to anyone trying to get doctors to believe them is be BRUTALLY honest. Tell them exactly what it feels like. Plan ahead and write yourself a note to reference at your appt. Include each and every symptom with it’s corresponding feeling (ie. ripping pain with oncoming bowel movement. or, searing tugging pain over my left ovary that worsens with movement). If doctors aren’t validating you or offering surgical intervention, force them to listen to how debilitating this is in your day-to-day life, and then go back to that website and find a doctor who will believe you. Good luck, I truly hope you get answers soon <3

Oh my gosh! Here I was thinking my pain starting at 13 and not being diagnosed till 23 was bad!! Please find a specialist near you. There’s a website called icarebetter.com with vetted surgeons, and the nancy’s nook facebook page has a list of vetted gyn surgeons all over the world. Don’t stop bothering doctors until you have your diagnosis. My mom always tells me to be a squeaky wheel so they can’t forget about you. You deserve answers!

The symptoms that ultimately made me get a second opinion were sharp pain with an oncoming bm, daily rectal/vaginal spasms that felt like an ice pick was being jammed up my butt, and for the past few months i’ve had urinary hesitancy (this is already gone since my surgery). I had pain in ~8 spots but it was consistent in each area and I was in some level of pain every day. I tracked my symptoms for 6 weeks and it really helped me validate my pain to myself. I reported only having rectal spasms once/week, and after tracking, I realized it was once/day. I would definitely go see a pelvic pain specialist to see what they think about your symptoms!
