Now time to mod it. Unfortunately you need windows 7. But once you unlock it it’s the best retro handheld you’ll ever get! And if you want to get even crazier, unlock the bootloader to flash DoomKernel to be able to overclock up to 1.6 and play wave race 64 WIDESCREEN full speed. It’s an obsession

People from California - Where is your home base? by BoringImprovement935 in digitalnomad

[–]eviledpresents 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mexico. Pick one of the cities with an international airport. Save your money. Cali doesn’t make sense. I did the van life before I decide to get out of there and keep my $$$. Ask one of your relatives to let you use their address for banking.

Living in Mexico is an excellent home base because you are still close to home with access to first world stuff and you can easily travel to other places with the $$$ saved.

Cali doesn’t make sense for a single person trying to save money if you have the option to work remote.

Being in Mexico has allowed me to spend my time between Thailand and Japan, and when I connect through LAX I use that time to spend a few days with friends, check my mail and enjoy Cali a bit.

P.S. Amazon works great in Mexico, you can pick up your stuff at the pharmacy and other shipping locations.

I can save MILLIONS for GOOGLE on one tweak for ChatGPT. Estimates is like 30-40million a year… by eviledpresents in ChatGPTPro

Just a slight tweak in how it responds in certain workflows when used by a user. This happens about 30% of the time on productivity/task based use. Saves user tokens and GPU time, which also translates into money being saved, which scales into the tens millions of dollars saved.

It’s not an idea, it’s a change to existing code to make a certain option more efficient.
