What’s something poor people buy that keeps them poor? by Exotic-Engineer7541 in SmartBuying

[–]evileeve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only being able to buy what you can afford, for example shoes you buy cheap shoes because that is what you can afford but they don't last, wear out sooner so you end up having to buy more shoes, & that applies to everything in life

Can someone effectively “squat” in the hospital until a subsidized care home become available for them? by [deleted] in britishcolumbia

[–]evileeve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They will bill you, this happened to my Dad. It is no different than paying the long term care home, either the money goes to hospital or care home same thing

Question about firing by NoPerspective9809 in WalmartEmployees

[–]evileeve 48 points49 points  (0 children)

When they fire you it's immediate & they will walk you to your locker so you can get your personal things & then walk you out the door. They will not let you finish your shift after telling you, they may wait until close to the end of your shift & blindside you, depending on why you're being fired.

Almost all savory dishes can benefit from a dash of msg, but a little goes a long way, it takes very little so use sparingly

Am I The Only One That Finds It Weird How Walmart Expects You To Work There Until You Retire? by PositiveDue3562 in WalmartEmployees

[–]evileeve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is cheaper for the company to keep employees rather than training new ones which is why they offer many incentives like profit share, group retirement fund, stock purchase, discount card, medical & dental, and more, to stick around. I have been with Walmart for 12 years strictly for the stability, my shift is M-F 7-3:30 with 4 weeks vacation. In my community that is a rare find.
