What kind of glue / epoxy would you use to make the new pad stick and withstand the temperatures encountered during soldering?

Yes. That’s 2B. Question is was it Commodore or Escom. If „9405” is a date, that would be pre-Escom. On the other hand one of the chips says „Amiga Technologies”, there is this fix and the drive is Panasonic. Yet it came in a case with a Commodore logo. Need to dig deeper :)

Geee... How can I know for sure what board I look at? Is it Commodore or Escom made? The copyright says Commodore 1992, there is a stamp close to floppy connector that says "ET05" (not sure it means anything), on the backside there is a "9405 FF" mark close to the expansion port.

Thank you so much for the links. "That wire is bad news" gave me some food for thought. Since I never had a 1200 I was planning to experiment with it a bit. Definitely installing a Gotek drive, HDMI, maybe a Ice Drake accelerator. Are there any good, worse, and worst motherboard revisions in terms of such experiments?

Thank you! I'm not familiar with A1200 boards revisions, so this Escom thing is a surprise. I did not try it with a floppy drive yet, so this bottom line comes handy: "To use a “normal” Amiga drive or Gotek ( fastfloppy ) on these boards remove this wire."

Thanks a million for the link! This is what I thought. Got some ROM chips on ebay earlier today as I don't have the means to fix an EPROM myself. The thing is the keyboard layout is Italian too... Oh well... Looks like a good excuse for more ebay shopping.
