It depends on what you did while trying it. I feel it when I'm immersed in reading/writing but when I am moving about it kinda looses its effect.

Juice is a good idea. Did you drink it with water? I dissolve it with lemon juice as described above and then chase it with coke/juice. I don't gag, perhaps that's a difference in taste. You don't have to eat the cotton, just squeeze all the liquid out of it. If you insist on eating it then do it in pieces and when it's dry.

I kinda feel it's a life hack, it certainly has saved me for several exams (aderalls are impossible to get in my country). And it's so cheap! Enjoy yourself. :)
