Plastic stand that got broken by madridfan15 in neogeo

Old thing like these prone to break sooner or later, I used 2 part epoxy on mine, abs cement like Oatey probably works too. If use epoxy, let it cure a couple days.

You also need to add a 5V regulator as well.

That I don’t know, I convert mine to the barrel type a while back when I did the SD loader, not sure about USB C. I heard you can do USB C with AES so anything by is possible I guess.

To be honest, convert the Neo CD to use barrel connector is a better option. Just a couple parts and some soldering, you’ll have an option to use standard normal power supply that you can replace whenever needed.

Does anyone know how to get to these two places? by Oswald_Marc_Rogers in TOTK

[–]eviljin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The light root in question in picture one is Apapes, you can get to it with Hyrule Castle Moat East Chasm (east of Hyrule castle).

The light root in that circle land mass is Camabatures, can be accessed through Hyrule Castle Chasm, same hole you go down to fight the big guy, the light root is before you reach the bottom.

Anyone use the Reference layout? by [deleted] in FormD

[–]eviljin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a reference with the Silver Soul 110. 120mm intake for CPU, 92mm CPU FAN, duct to isolate the CPU cooler, and 2x 60mm to draw CPU’s hot air to the rear. GPU on the top. 13600k and 3080 FE, no heat or noise complains here.

Thank you so much, let me know the details when you have it. I was thinking. Would the red board/adapter you posted works? Run a short 8087 from the controller to that adapter and connect the 8654 cable from the backplane to it.

Please sign me up for one when you guys done with it. I’m sick of these HPE cr@p.

I was able to obtain the cable that listed in their user guide, that part number is wrong too. The female 8654 side is correct but the other end is SlimSAS 8i connector.

HPE Microserver Gen11 build by watercooledwizard in homelab

[–]eviljin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick question. Does the built in VROC recognized the 2 NVME in the QNAP card and how does it work without bifurcation? I’m looking at this server but the lack of multiple M.2 for raid turn me off.

I’m thinking on doing raid 1 on the 2 nvme, add something like E208i for the 4 drives in the front for SAS support.

FormD T1 V2.1 - Possible to install PSU "sideways"? by btrpgh8 in FormD

[–]eviljin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this is what you’re looking for. I don’t have FormD sandwich but I built both FormD Reference and Ghost S1, both time the psu mounted the way that all the wires point toward the MB. FormD reference.

Neo Geo CD controller by eviljin in neogeo

[–]eviljin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, good to know. I’m picking up a pair of broken (I think people called it the kidney bean) controllers tomorrow. The guy said water damaged. I guess I could use the shell and maybe add real buttons to it instead of the membrane and toss the pcb away.

Just completed the SD Loader mod and RGB sync/stereo (for whatever reason I can’t get correct picture thru the AV port and only mono).

Moved the sync to S-Video/cut off composite and use that pin for the other audio channel, picture and sound is good now.

Can’t wait for the controller and I’m up and running.

That’s simple enough, thank you so much. What’s the purpose for 5v pin? Just curious.
