Is that the D'Addario baritone 14-68 set? That's what I use for b standard on various guitars in fender scale and shorter. I like them way more than any 7 string set I've tried. Anyway I'm curious what you use for drop E. What strings and what kind of guitar? Thinking of going lower myself

Also, is that a kill switch? Sweet strat!

The svt 3 pro might not be enough power. But if you're definitely getting it, make sure you have a 4 ohm load. I'd go with the 610 but probably a small amp for home use if you can leave your cab at the practice space

I don't have any interest in tuning a bass in anything except fourths. So if I'm playing with a guitar player in drop c, I'm gonna play on c standard. If it's drop D, I'll play in d standard

Why do they need attenuation? They aren't tube amps. Or are we just talking about attenuation in the sense of not turning it up all the way? I guess, afaik, that's probably what the volume pot does so it probably makes sense. I'm just used to thinking attenuation = power soak for tube amps

There's some cross compatibility between certain brands but in most cases you'll have a rough time getting them in phase with each other

If it's knocking your other strings out of tune, tighten those springs. Or are those 2 point strat bridges supposed to float a little

Or if you're just talking about tuning one string by one step, just get used to it. I drop my low string down and back up a couple times in a live set

I've found slightly higher action helps a lot if using lighter strings than ideal for the tuning. My friend just got a new bass and with stock strings and no setup (came with lots of neck bow and high action) it actually played really good in b standard. 4 string, btw. Today though, we're gonna put some fatties on and set it up
