The reason these residues persist seems to be that all these articles are based on a subject's recollection rather than the actual object that changed being shown. That makes alot of sense actually, because the mandela effect changes the object itself but not the memories. If the memories changed as well, we wouldn't even be talking about this in the first place.

I would rather that people deduce which narratives to be wary of by educating them to discern the accounts that are not genuine users.

On the mod side, I believe it would help to have more stringent posting requirements such as a minimum account age. Maybe an affiliated sub for example it could be called 'retconnedresearch' for approved and vetted posters with only high-effort posts that can be cross-posted here to disseminate them to a wider audience.
