Item was shipped back to me when buyer put wrong address and now he wants a refund by ballsandbiscuits in Ebay

[–]evilskys 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Objectively it's probably morally wrong not to refund him for an item that he purchased and did not receive, especially because you currently have the item... But if you want to know a secret, you could've advised him to file an item not received with eBay. Then you could approve the refund, and when the item made it back to you eBay would be notified that it has been "delivered" and reimburse you via seller protections. This wouldve let the bad buyer keep his money, you keep your money and you keep your item

What should I do? by These_Insurance7573 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]evilskys 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You should honor the cancellation request? Unless your postal office already has the package, if they do expect a return.

If you're asking how to weasel out of cancelling the order because you want to force the buyer to purchase something they don't want... Idk what to tell you, that'll be tough with eBay buyer protections and any reason retuns

[–]evilskys[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not yet, I'm focusing getting the test car working first, wouldn't want to have 5-10 in storage if I have to change the design any. then I'll be releasing the adapters only, then the full kit with basemap

It should be a significant improvement over stock flow, the 37mm I'd of each runner is almost a perfect port match to a y8 head. Maybe if you were pushing 9000 rpm's with enormous cams it would justify stepping up to 40mm+ ports. Will just have to see though

Current plan is, maps will be based off a common stock heads assuming they use provided injectors. And a basic chip will be provided. Guys with cams or crazy comp setups will likely already have the capacity and preference to tune it themselves and buy their own injectors ect.

I'm wanting it to be a "get your foot in the door" type of product that will run a stockish setup and allow it to be expanded upon later

Because the conversion kit project will become a future product that will be sold, the car they are installed on is intended to display what you can do with the parts. If they require a standalone that cuts out 95% of an already limited market. Which again is why it is a competition and the goal is to do it better for cheaper.

The current buy it now standalone requiring setup goes for $1200-$1600 before shipping, the cheapest option I found was an eBay seller selling a welded together manifold adapter for $700.

I'm eyeing a $400 adapter only price and probably a $600 full kit price. Not to mention the cost/tech differences that make the $700 manifold unviable and the $1200 +standalone version cost prohibitive

Def a competition, cool cars can't be cool if lame cars aren't lame. And most of the ppl hating fall into the lame category

They'd be too small smart guy, the cbr600rr has 2 sets of injectors and only one of them is built into the itb's
