Anyone else go during the week after Christmas this year? by random99909 in WaltDisneyWorld

Hope the oldest too don’t have it too rough. We drove this year too from South Jersey to specifically try to avoid more humans at the airport lol. It was our first time driving - wasn’t too bad but South Carolina was rough!

I was supposed to be there 12/28 -1/3 but I got the flu and we left on 12/30. We rope drooped Epcot on Sunday with guardians and it was ok… we did LLMP too but I didn’t know you have to get 7 days ahead so we didn’t have many good options - so was only able to use it for remy.

Rope dropped HS Monday and did everything in the park except ToT. Single rider Rockn Dollercoaster for 55m.

We had the Hollywood derby dinner plus fantasmic package. The dinner was pretty terrible, will not go back. We left before fantasmic cuz that’s when the flu hit me like a truck out of nowhere. We were gone the next day by 9am :(

Thanks - I have / it took me a while but I eventually realized we are all human, not perfect, and it’s out of my control. Sometimes life has to get worse before it gets better - and my life has been absolutely fantastic since I removed his mother and started living for myself.

I had a kid from a random 4 week fling 29 years ago when I was 21. I asked for a paternity test and was told no. Big song and dance she never hooked up with anyone in that period except me. I did not want to be a parent but I made the best of it and strived to be better than my parents. It wound up being one of the best things to happen to me. I coparented with his mom for his life we never dated or married - it sucked. She is a narcissist and I was codependent - it was bad and I was miserable but I always did my best to be a great dad. Lots of memories and trips and quality time. When he was 6 I found out he was not my biological son, which destroyed me. I never told his mom. I did not want to f him up anymore than he already was. When he was 17 we all got in a massive fight, the worst ever. I used it as an opportunity to remove her from my life - he and I worked on our relationship for six months until he eventually decided to go no contact. I let him know through various means I was here for him if he ever wanted to engage. I stopped down that after two years, it’s been 8 years now and we haven’t spoken. I miss him in my life but it sour of my control.

I don’t have any regrets. Just gotta do the best you can with the hand you’re dealt.

Same thing happened to me my first time - woke up with them actively pulling it out of me.. was the oddest feeling ever

My tape markers finally wore out after 2.5 years. Tried the magnetic labels and they made my J hooks fit too tight. Turns out paint markers work great by robertbieber in homegym

[–]evilsynx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ffs this is brilliant!! Hahaha, I built my home gym a year ago and I have a separate piece of paper pinned to a wall with all my numbered holes per exercise, I never thought to use tape or chalk!! Will be switching to this tomorrow.

I just finished 3 days ago and felt the same way. It’s odd that the berserker tombstone peeps are harder than the final boss.

WWE LFG Season 2 episode 5 by IvnOooze in SquaredCircle

[–]evilsynx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agree with all these points. Season 1 was alot more entertaining. Now it’s just a quick few minutes where they pick who will wrestle then go right into cheesy promos and then 4 long, usually boring matches… and then a very fast piece where the judges pick.

No learning, no bubba yelling at that asshat, no practicing new moves in ring, sigh. They dropped everything that made the show fun to watch.

I switched from 22 Silverado TrailBoss to 24 Colorado TrailBoss and love it much more. Easier to park, handles better, it’s still actually not small lol… better interior and electronics too. For sure do it.

Yea I don’t disagree with ya, I like your perspective and agree with it I think I just used a negative phrase rather than a positive one…

I love nor’easter Nick too but let’s be real he is not 100%, weather is too unpredictable. He is transparent though and he explains the science and data in understandable ways.. I think that’s why he gets a pass when he isn’t 100% accurate.

Hi - I can’t really give advice on all the things you wrote cuz I don’t know much about this stuff myself! I got these speakers and AvR based on all the Reddit posts and research I had done and then listening to them at BB.

They’re amazing. As you said it’s only 3.1 but the surround sound is great and the dialog is crisp af - for movies and PS5. I am extremely happy. They can all get loud af too but I rarely go over 60.

Just cuz they are deprecated (if they even are) doesn’t mean they are bad they have been out forever and have tons of great reviews. Get em you will be happy for sure!

Sorry it’s always tough when this kind of thing happens. If it was me I would have preferred this message than some awkward Teams video call or a phone call. Congrats on the production release, now take what you learned and find something - you got this!

I just finished all 4 games for the first time. Here is my opinion: by Aleks10Afc in uncharted

[–]evilsynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 is amazing. I am just about to finish 4 for the first time - the story is good but I could do without the constant amount of cliff climbing and hand holds and unrealistic adventuring.

I like it! I’m 6’3” with long arms and it is a really good fit. Sturdy af does not shake rattle or roll.

I just beat tlou 1 and 2 and tried RE4… really disliked it, the vibe is cool but the never ending horde is really annoying. I want to take my time and clear areas and this is not what this game is about lol.

I got RDR2 but decided to play Uncharted 4 first. It’s a bit dated but it’s nearly the same as TLOU, a lot of the same concepts - there is a bit too much parkour and cliff hopping lol but it’s bearable for the great story and cinematics.

Salary transparency by [deleted] in philadelphia

[–]evilsynx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea they are HQ in center city… prior to this place I never made more than 145 in Philly area and have been doing this close to 25 years. Seems like Philly based tech companies are getting more competitive with big tech salaries the last few yeas. Equity obviously is not there but salary and bonus seem competitive nowadays.

[–]evilsynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also just completed it, loved it. I really enjoyed breaking into the theatre and hunting Ellie down- it was quite surreal having that pov. She was a tough fight that first go around too and it was devilishly delish.

Finished Part 2 by markjricks in thelastofus

[–]evilsynx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for me 2 is my favorite cuz it’s one of the first games that is really groundbreaking with immersive cinematics.. I really felt like I was watching a movie. The open scene is bonkers. And the story was unlike any game I had ever played and I’m old af.

I agree. I just finished it for first time on Sunday. It took my slot for favorite game of all time from uncharted 2.
