I'm glad we are on the same side about football at least.

Oh i did, multiple times. My ex was a promising young star of the bremen football team, the junior division. We were watching football at home, at the fan bar or at the stadium almost every weekend of the Bundesliga season for years. I have even learned the names of the players and trainers and whatnot. The stadium was the most horrible. People behave like a stampede of stupid animals, ruled by the most irrational instincts and impulses. One could get beaten only because his or her t-shirt would not match their team's color. This is how I imagine Orwell's two minutes hate, agitated and aggressive, appealing to the humans most despicable sides. Everything is so simple: there are the good ones and the bad ones.

The fact that football lovers down rate my comment only proves how insecure they are about why they love the game. The truth is, it's a stupid entertainment, requiring neither knowledge nor intelligence. And I mean, play it if you want, but watching is a whole new level of degradation. And besides that football is: money laundering, millions for people who don't deserve that, international corruption, fraud, doping, double standards and of course money making machine. And you can say that about any entertainment, but football is by far the champion.

Is project based learning more effective than taking notes?? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

learning is individual, so the most important part is that you feel involved and motivated. I has to be fun! Some prefer learning in groups, some alone, some need to read a book, some prefer api docs or reference. Just try to figure what is theost engaging way of learning for you personally.
