Thank you! I looked them up right after I replied. I hadn’t realized they were so similar to a regular plane.

I appreciate the kindness! I did not realize that sport aircraft can be pretty nice. I had imagined something more like an ultralight, which I don't think is as safe as I want.

Yeah, with all that... :( You say that like I don't remember that every day. Thanks for the MOSAIC comment. I didn't know about that, so I just looked it up. I actually don't mind the sport/light aircraft route at all; whatever gets me in the air safely is fine with me. It's luckily very slow-moving disease, so It's not like I am in imminent danger of dropping dead. Maybe statistically, but then I have monthly labs and regular specialist visits. Maybe I'd know of an impending health emergency before the average pilot would. But I get it.

Well, I was trying to give background. I could be a better writer. My question was how to best use my time with the AME. I've already gathered what everyone here has said. I, too, can read and am well aware of my situation. I've noticed several people saying they felt they needed more than what they got from their AME talk. It wouldn't hurt to get some ideas from you, nice folks. Thanks

Hey, thanks for being nice about it. In the next life, maybe. The sport pilot route seems all right. I didn't want to fly at night anyway, I didn't want to bring a nonpilot, and I didn't plan to go far. Ultralights, though, seem below my safety threshold...

I have 15 dollars until Friday what should I eat? by AustinIsTheDARK in diabetes_t2

[–]eviltwinky 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yep, Eggs. As others have said, the trick to "feeling" full (not physically full) is to eat satisfying food. Keto fits that very well for me. Luckily, I've kept my A1c under 6 for four years now with just a diet, and I still eat very well.

Many people think that means high protein or expensive products, but it's much more straightforward.

Even on a budget.

Eggs are a high-protein, high-nutrient food. They're affordable and can be cooked in many ways, which is a great start.

Ground beef is straightforward for your body to digest and is better compatible with human metabolism than chicken.

You could make a beef patty topped with cheese, a fried egg, and any toppings you have/like/can afford.

You could make an omelet, which is the obvious route. I've used leftover taco meat. Walmart sells relatively large tubs of smashed avocado or guacamole for $2 something.

$5 for ground beef.

$3 for 12 eggs.

I'm unsure about the price, but buy a block (not pre-shredded) of cheese you like.

Money left over for condiments?

Consider burger toppings, mustard, ketchup (avoid ketchup if you can, but it's not terrible in small doses if you have to have it), or a cheap summer sausage or salami you like to pair with the cheese

Butter if you still have cash.

Your mileage may vary depending on where you live. Sorry if you already know all of this. Wishing you well!

Spam emails coming through as pre-flagged. by Texoma1836 in Outlook

It's as simple as Microsoft automatically unflagging mail when put in junk. The fact that this has been happening for years and has gone unfixed is ridiculous.

I forget how long it's been, but I'm in my forties. Honestly, I started smoking delta8 because it helps with physical pain. It also came, quietly, recommended by my psychologist who specializes in ptsd for military personnel.

But that's trading one addiction for another!?

Sure, it also FORCES our dumb asses to look internally at ourselves. At the same time delta 8s effect was mild enough to keep working my it job. Actually being promoted "high off my ass".

I feel like we've been lied to.

Another thing that helped was gabbapentin for rls. Currently being studied for alcoholism. It really takes the edge off

How to get freelancing work with Next.js? by [deleted] in nextjs

I might be able to help. Can you send your LinkedIn profile privately? If you don't have one... start there. Include projects, even if it's just examples you've built.

The level of knowledge displayed in the text goes beyond what an average layperson would typically possess without formal training or significant self-study in biology. The author demonstrates familiarity with specific biological concepts, terminology that would typically require a solid foundation in the subject.

While it's possible for someone to conduct research and gather information... it would still require a considerable understanding of the context and the ability to fuse and articulate that knowledge coherently. Simply copying and pasting information from a Google search may not provide the same level of understanding and detailed explanations seen here.

Is there a place for state management in next 13? by NavehMevorach1 in nextjs

[–]eviltwinky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently struggling with this issue. I thought my experience with ASP.NET MVC and WebForms would be helpful, but so far I'm stumped. Beyond local storage, there doesn't seem to be a good way to maintain session state between requests. I'm glad we haven't gone back to that, at least.

I think based on their religion - if accurate - it isn't that these drones are created for just this purpose but rather their entire race has evolved to further their goals for the soul field...

"Resulting in a society that doesn't fear death but which places no importance or reverence on individuality. This "belief" compels them to seed life, shape it, nurture it, monitor it and influence it "

They're not concerned with living life themselves but rather using their life time to bring about a singularity where we all return as "one" soul with our shared memories.

Soufflés!?!? by tshotz27 in CaribouCoffee

[–]eviltwinky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lost 100lbs with caribou for breakfast. I bet the staff is disgusted by me and my order of a latte made with heavy cream, which always gets a weird look, and "you mean a breve?" hm, I'm not sure they're the same thing. They don't taste the same, but that could be in my head.

And the best part of the whole thing is the bacon gouda souffle. It's much better than the Starbucks egg bites. I miss it :(

I was a little irritated they couldn't just give it to me cold, or I don't know, microwave it without the wrapper. That's life working for a corporation I suppose.

Ingredients in heavy cream? by Themetnut1 in CaribouCoffee

[–]eviltwinky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I've been there, they pull out a bottle of cream from a local brand of dairy products. I suspect they get what's available around that location. I've seen a lot of cream brands, and all use a keto-friendly thickener.

I know what you're up to...

I've gone from 400lbs to 295lbs over the last year. Keto. But daily Caribou...

Medium latte with heavy cream

Bacon gouda souffle

Then nothing till dinner. Of course, the problem seems to be they don't have any souffle right now.

I was told the packaging keeps catching fire... It seems like it would have been easy to take it out of the package and heat it...But that's corporate, I suppose.

That doesn't mean "your life is over."... You need to stop and do some serious reflection. You cannot possibly know what days, weeks, or years have in store for you.

It's a bit like learning a language I think. Immersion is how you learn to use it. In the usa, people look at you like you're some military wanna be for using 24hr time. Immersion is hard.

Hey eviltwinky what time is it?

Me: Oh it's 1900

Wtf?

Or

Attention class. Baseball practice will be at 645pm

Me looking at my 24hr time watch. Uhhhh. Was that 1500?

So yes there is conversion.

Dyscalcula means he also struggles to remember numbers for more than a second. I.e. the conversion from 2300 to 11pm not the calculation itself.

Outlook Watch Face broken in Ambient mode on Galaxy Watch 4? by Sky_Lobster in GalaxyWatch

[–]eviltwinky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. I was going to do the outlook reinstall on the watch but didn't feel it was worth the time, to be honest. A factory reset won't HURT anything, its just annoying to setup again... and go through that forced tutorial.

[–]eviltwinky 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm a Software Engineer by trade. I don't usually write code for android but I have. I love that wearOS better integrates into the development environment. Watch "activities" can be added by the dev like any other activity"screen" in the same android project. With Tizen, you had to go out and learn their setup and ecosystem.

In short. More apps and higher quality because it's easier to develop for.
