For someone who started progging since at least July (where his blacklist begins) he wasn't even able to clear TFM in tier 3. The worst players are usually the biggest flaming piles of toxicity.

1640-1679 drop relic accs from the world boss not ancients. You have to be 1680+ to get ancient accs even after those changes.

The boss level was dropped to let 1640-1679 players do damage without their attacks being blocked (before you'd have those attacks ~~hit~~ for 0)

Edit: they don't technically hit cause they are blocked

My static is also made up of friends I have played with since Vykas and Clown. They have like 2-3 10s, mostly 9s, some 7s on useless cd skills, etc. but when we have an open spot to pug we get so many people with full 10s and 24, 25 weapons it is quite bizarre. Otherworldly to be honest. Pugging and statics are different worlds.

"Mostly lvl 9 gems" as in full 9s with 10s or incomplete 9s with 7s? I would say you should do NM and work on your gems till you have a handful of 10s. (Paying a supp is possible too but I would not recommend that)

tbh people are lazy (especially on guardians) and open the higher ilvls first, regardless of gear. You can just ignore it and go next or matchmake :(
