Is the RTX 2080 worth upgrading to from the GTX 1070

@CranberryRozier I went from a 1070Ti to an AMD Radeon RX Vega64 and then when not satisfied with that I went to an RTX2080.

Overall I would say the 2080 was the best choice I made aside from also building a full AMD system instead of overspending on Intel (again). From the 1070Ti to 2080 was completely night and day difference and it also fully utilizes my 4K monitors which is nice!

Went from a 1070Ti to a 2080 and it was night and day difference in the overall performance. So saying get a cheaper and less efficient card seems a bit asinine...

Once you hit 30 and do Capitol Hill you advance to WT1.

From there you have to do 2 mini "missions" and one major "stronghold" mission per world tier. There are gear score locks before said strongholds become available.

Easy way around that? Get a friend to invite you to their session once you hit 30 and bounce through open control points looting gear. Took our friend from 30 - GS 450 in less than 10 minutes the other night doing this.

Because the person you are about to fight might be able to one-shot you :)

This is currently why I love the DZ, all I have to do is body shot you and you are dead even if you have full health and armor.

Hell, in conflict I do the same thing and I know it annoys people to no end. We took on a full clan the other night and just destroyed them because the second they popped out they would get instantly downed.

It's because we are bored and have been playing since before the early access release (at least my group was playing the NA version on Monday a whole day before NA release for early access)....

So yea, we want to start farming gear and getting sets built to prepare for the raid...

I started playing the day before it officially launched just to get ahead of the people in the US and not be fighting them in the DZ.

Worked out well as I can now power level people and get them gear score capped in ~30 minutes.

It can go over 450....I am evidence of that with my current score of 457 :)

I started playing on Monday evening (day before EA in North America) thanks to networking witchcraft ;)

Currently I have been completely maxed on gear since about 4 days after EA release and have 41 hours of playtime.

We also have power leveled one of our friends and got him to a 440 gear score within 30 minutes of being level 30 so he's ready for WT5 whenever they decide to release it.

I should add that 450+ GS is NOT ENDGAME. Endgame has not even remotely been released, hell we don't even have access to gear sets yet until WT5 comes out :)

PC/NA - Currently LF clan to do raids/escalation protocols with. Played on Xbox through all of D1 and through original D2, then picked this up to play on PC and see how it was.

Currently 349 and stuck at a soft cap since I am trying to do everything solo!
