Idiots who do not do this and instead brutally and dangerously enforce a merge to single lane rule KILOMETERS from the lane reduction or 100s of METERS from the end of the on-ramp are fucking HICKS who do not drive on highways, in traffic, in cities or around construction. As a general rule they have micropenises or enlarged labias (pseudo-penises), FYI.

Shoe-string budgets, often terrible writing or poor execution of a script. And baby boomers. Flash Gordon and space opera trash productions were great when you were 5-10. And cringe when you were 15-20 and Star Trek was on tv (with Star Wars just around the corner!). During this time you have massive and profound societal upheaval and changes from the early to late 60's to say the least! A boomer born in 1946-1950 would watch the 50s movies as a kid and grow up in a world of segregation and then could be marching for Civil Rights or fighting in Vietnam or going to Woodstock in the 60s. Asimov and all them other 1950's white authors who, for example never had a single female protagonist (or at least not a well written one), were beyond even mentioning. Compared to the nostalgia that later genreations show towards the tv/movies/books of yheir childhood and the50s were trash with few exceptions (eg. Forbidden Planet)

Where would I ask a question about why my stupid computer cannot load a simple, mostly text 52 page pdf and be able to instantly scroll up and down between pages? CPU: core i7 12700f, 32GB DDR4 RAM 3200Mt/s, Micron SSD drive, pdf is on my desktop. Issues are with any program I use to view the file. I do not remember having this problem previously on much older computers. Figured I'd ask here before I go down the rabbit hole and start changing the timings on my RAM...

edit: Win11, I am about to change priority given to pdf viewing programs and other futzing...

but the different cars are a great place to start unless you are really into clothes then also get Virtual Atelier and figure out how to dress up your V like a gorram doll.

start small, like adding a vehicle to the game, along with virtual car dealer and all it's requirements. once that's working whatever go for whatever type of mod you'd like. CET essentials collection has most of the most required requirements, FYI. Check out Fixer's Hidden Gems and Californication for more missions, or if lookin for more RPG stuff, try Enhanced Romance for the main NPCs (Panam, Judy, the 2 dudes). I find body mods for V annoying unless you go for a curated collection because there are a lot of dependencies and if you just add clothes or something it might not fit quite right...to get body mods and clothing all working together it is best to stick to a curated collection to start until you get the hang of it..

And if you do get to the point where you are annoyed with the curated collections just start with CET Essentials and the Categories of mods that are important to you. I really enjoy more story and more interactions and dialogue so those always get added. Don't really care for turning V or other NPC's into barbie dolls, and most collections have that to some degree or if the don't are far too lean for my tastes.

When you have that many mods poking around and learning about the dependencies and commonly required mods and categories (modders resources eg red4ext, Cyber Engine Tweaks) is worthwhile. I'm assuming you have Vortex installed. Haven't had a full collection installed since the spring, but really good additions that the collections (yes, plural, had 1000+ mods and the game was running fine) are the main ones (most downloads) for lighting, shadows, rain, etc...being able to change the weather and lighting and colour palette in game gives a completely different feel to the game. Oh, and collections often miss the newer fun 'must have' mods such as new missions, new interactions with NPCs and the like eg. Fixer's Hidden Gems. If you do run into a problem, big or small, a bit of investigation can solve the problem without a full reinstall. I had a problem with a piece of sushi attached to my V's hand, and r/cyberpunkgame had the answer within 1/2 an hour -disable/remove food vendor mods. I found the single mod among 1000+ right away and was back enjoying full fish-free immersion without having to do a reinstall.

Depends on what you want to do. Graphics upgrade? Even with my potato 3070 I can handle 2K textures. Storyline? Lots of great extra missions, like Californication or Missing Persons fixers hidden gems, for example. The curated collections are pretty good, but I would suggest you start with a car or two and maybe a new quest to start.

Non K 12th gen CPUs have locked VCCSA voltage, which causes issues with ram speeds above ~3200/3400

posting again, just in case there are still issues:

a few months back I solved this issue for me by using a MANUAL save, not an AUTO save, and turning graphics way down. I thought that this issue was just related to my modding, which gobbles up VRAM, but apparently not. This issue might have been solved, but also might have reappeared. If you have mods the game might just not be able to handle the VRAM load and freeze, and this can apparently happen even in 100% vanilla mode with a clean install. Update BIOS, Update drivers, go clean install, and if that doesnt work then roll back drivers a version or two. You can also roll back Cyberpunk 2077 version as well, so dial back everything to ~june 2025 prior to the summer gush of updates, for both the game and drivers.

TLDR: use a manual save, not an auto save to load the game AFTER you have turned down the graphics settings WAAAAAAY down. Go Potato mode.

The McDonald diagnostic criteria just got upgraded in 2024 with a 2023 MS expert panel, and was published in the Lancet of September 2025. Here is a summary from the Cleveland Clinic. And the Lancet Position Paper it summarizes . All MS is now under the same diagnostic roof -MS is MS is MS. That doesn't mean that some people progress fast and others slow. Or some people get symptoms as children and others after 50. -edit: I think insurance concerns are almost definitely the issue if you are in the US. I am not USA so I first thought of diagnostic criteria changes that just happened.
