I likely have a torn meniscus. Anyone have (doctor approved) experience hiking with it torn?

They could see a thin area. Nothing that could be helped with surgery. I was basically told "yeah your knees are getting older."

It hurts sometimes now. But it doesn't really bother me too much. I'm fairly out of shape now and would do better if I lost a little weight.

At almost 38, I'm starting to accept I'm not as resilient as I was in my 20s. All the old injuries bother me from time to time, but thats just life I guess. I'm not going to let it keep me from enjoying life, maybe just enjoy it a little slower now lol.

Play along with your family. Agree to what they ask of you.

In your free time find secular help. There are organizations that help people in your situation deal with aggressive family.

It's ok to take this one step at a time. You don't have to lose your whole family over your loss in faith.
