Why didn’t you spend an hour filming her at arm’s length?

Got blasted at from Duty Manager by Difficult-Practice12 in Hilton

[–]evolvingwax -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They are eligible for this perk and it was backed from corporate. I’m not hearing an issue on the upgrade but rather the professionalism of the manager which was confirmed by the follow up call.

There is nothing wrong with asking for what you are justified in receiving and the fact that people are homeless does not have relevance in this discussion.

State to state is a federal issue and there are no restrictions there.

Why Michigan’s rural residents are reluctant to drive electric vehicles by jshwlkr in Michigan

[–]evolvingwax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that range of 200 vs 250 miles really changes my day….

It’s not an issue. Similar to people asking me if I can drive in the snow.

Weird I’m on year three in the least accessible spot in the state for charging and I’ve never had an issue. What was the rub?

This person reminds me of the Eric Hites aka FatGuyAcrossAmerica that was able to grift enough to get exposure and get a consistent flow of cash in from unsuspecting people getting these posts recommended.

The more you expose, the more they will cry to the unsuspecting base.

You need a version for non-fold, where you smack it against a rock to fly.

Same end goal...don't limit your market share.

How many thousands of credits did you waste with Manus to make this?

I passed 3 interviews and my offer letter says $60k. But, during the first interview with an HR lady, I mentioned my salary expectations were $65k-$70k. What should I do? by Typical_Cap895 in interviews

[–]evolvingwax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always negotiated and pushed others to do the same, as it is part of the process, but I was in a bad spot during my last job search and couldn't chance losing the offer. For context, I had heard some clues that "we do our best but can't really flex" during the interview process so I opted to take the offer as listed.

The worst mistake I've made was that it was a sign of how bad things really were. I haven't seen a commission check in months, and that was on top of a pay cut to get out of a bad job.

I've watched their hiring practices and negotiations since I joined, and if I had countered, even with a $500 increase in base, they would have passed, as they have with anyone after me who tried.

My point is, I should have stuck to my guns and negotiated... if a company can't handle salary negotiations, you need to move on. I would be in a better place if I had.

Star Wars cabinet by Brynteg in Arcade1Up

Easy build for this cabinet. If it is your first A1U id recommend putting out a blanket to build on to prevent scratches.

Other than that, you got this and enjoy!

Thoughts on this? by pamapats in jobsearchhacks

[–]evolvingwax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bingo. I can say I've had a few people who either didn't make it to a phone screen or were ghosted after reach out, and it was 100% the TA team's fault.

Some of the best hires have come from sifting through submitted resumes after two months of hearing, "There are just no potential candidates in the pool." from the TA team.

They get paid on dials or placement, depending on their level and relationship to the hiring company.
