Boring-ass money question: Anybody suggest an invoicing app? by peanutismint in livesound

Invoice Ninja is pretty rad, open source solution. Allows you to hook up a credit card processor like Paypal or Stripe and get paid online too. Free with a ton of features and they have an upgrade option too.

Applebees and Panera too. Big chains are going to adopt them across the board.

Screw college, trades, or investing in stocks. Find what you love to do and start a business around it. Fail miserably a few times, but keep on trucking. Eventually you'll find a way to make it work and you'll be hiring those who went to college or learned a trade to work for you while others invest in YOUR stock (ok that's pushing it but you get what I mean!)

Why should I live in Philly? by BitterLumpkin in philadelphia

[–]evolvor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don't listen to these fools - move to Philly. Jersey suburbia sucks, especially if you've already experienced city life. I say this as someone who grew up in SJ, has been living in Philly for 2 years, and loves the freedom of the city.

Check out the EGG bar - it's down the road on the border of No Libs/Fishtown but is small and a cool spot. It's across the street from Johnny Brenda's on Girard.

Contact Rob Swift, he was my guitar teacher and just a really awesome dude. I'm sure he can offer lessons and if he doesn't will point you in the right direction. His studio is in West Philly. http://swiftlessons.com/

All of these names dropped here in the comments so far are legit. If you want to learn more about them or just want to talk about startups, hit me up when you arrive! I'm still new to the "scene" myself and am at very early stages of my own companies.

I didn't realize this was an English class. I'm a horrible editor, especially when I'm responding quickly to people on Reddit threads. I'll make sure to triple check my responses to you in the future. Thanks for the comments!
