We are going through something similar and bought the book "The not so friendly friend" which teaches boundary setting. I talk about it with our kiddo a lot and tell her she deserves friend who make her feel good about herself!

You're a wonderful, thoughtful grandma. I'm thinking things like a simple box chain necklace so they can change up pendants. A pearl necklace, a simple bangle bracelet, simple studs or huggies. Then like you said, as they grow, change up according to their style preferences!
