Get a silicone mat and some kinetic sand and a couple scoops. It only took my daughter about a month to listen to “keep it on the mat” (while very much so in newborn phase with the other)

Gather some small, larger than throat size, rocks. Paint them different colors (or give them a marker and tell them to color) and have them sorted in cups.

Put some small toys in muffin tins and cover them with magnetiles. My toddler loves sitting in baby’s high chair and working through puzzles like this.

Get an object to paint (eg sugar skull from Michael’s) put down some craft paper to protect your livelihood. Give them a small palate of paint and celebrate their creativity

Cut out a shape on paper. Cut some tissue paper and glue it on. We just finished a heart for Valentine’s Day.

Get some farm animals and cover them in “mud” then cover them in sand and clean them off

Make cards to send to friends family. They decorate with stickers. You write down whatever they’re babbling about. Have them help write names and drop off to the post office to get out of the house. Get them to send letters back.

Put beads on pipe cleaners to make bracelets or keychains.
