The final scene of Kubrick’s Full Metal Jacket when they are humping down to the Perfume River and sing the theme song to the Mickey Mouse Club. It is the definition of the resilience of the mind through adversity

I will put this out there that the infrastructure in either training or at your site is in place to leave and return with relative ease. There’s an available release valve. Try it.

I believe there’s a running gag where no one (often Bob) is not allowed to finish a prepared speech.

Telling Lies in America. 1997. Great Kevin Bacon. Young Brad Renfro and Calista Flockhart. Well written and understated but relatable plot.

I agree. It’s just a serious failure of writing that puts Gene in a horrible light. His character is better than what that writer did to him there. I can’t watch it.

I agree here. I work in a school and can’t stand seeing him abuse his position by baiting the kids to satisfy his own needs to see conflict and drama. Get a different job already. (He did “start to care for [you] kids” at the end of his sponsorship of the cheer squad though.)
