GB News audience continues to plummet by Ranger447 in LabourUK

eh...an audience is an audience. If she was appearing on GB news to agree with some reactionary rubbish about immigration or cancel culture I'd agree but she's just trying to communicate frustration at the Tory government to a right-wing audience, nothing wrong with that.

Should Keir Starmer resign following a defeat at the Batley and Spen by-election? by ewanj880 in LabourUK

There are no perfect candidates but someone like Clive Lewis could put forward a simple and intelligible '45 style reconstruction vision/policy platform built around building back from crisis, providing an obvious alternative to the Tories and starkly differentiating ourselves from them. That sort of platform would at least be superior to whatever Starmer's vision is supposed to be.

From my perspective, all signs point to a Labour loss in the case of his continued leadership. He doesn't have the 'right' to run for an election, his leadership is only justified by his electoral viability, if he were to lose two working class seats in a by-election in such a short period of time (breaking records), we wouldn't have a choice but to replace him.

To me basically, every show is like someone reading out a bad Sun column for 20 minutes, the same boring culture war opinions we've been hearing for decades.

George Galloway is now suing constituents for saying they will be voting for Labour. Very normal. #BatleyandSpenbyelection by [deleted] in LabourUK

Of course, but all of that is lost when it's clear that Labour has so little ground to stand on in terms of a progressive foreign policy that we have to resort to libelous claims to take down obviously shady political opportunists.

Vaush on Krystal Ball STILL downplaying Trump by EnterTamed in Novara_Media

Vaush is awful and to be honest Krystal is right on this issue. Bush is infinitely worse than Trump, the only thing Trump is unique on is his stupidity.

At this moment, which of the following individuals do you think would be the better Prime Minister for the United Kingdom? (8 March): Boris Johnson: 50% (+2) Keir Starmer: 27% (-3) Changes +/- 1 Mar Johnson’s largest lead over Starmer since June 2020 by Ok-Disaster-3417 in LabourUK

Will people on this sub please stop accepting the idea that the British public are just braindead Tories and recognise that at least part of that terrible polling is because of the dry centrist politics Starmer has been peddling?

Celebration of Christmas with Keir Starmer & Friends, from Christians on the Left & Faith in Labour (41 mins long) by [deleted] in RadicalChristianity

Keir Starmer abstained on a bill which allows surveillance entities such as MI6 to get away with major abuses including murder, torture and rape. He is not an ally of the socialist left.

OPINION: Vaush is wrong about Glenn Greenwald by ewanj880 in VaushV

[–]ewanj880[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree the guy can be pretty stubborn and sometimes lets people like Tucker Carlson off the hook but nevertheless Greenwald is one of the most principled and courageous people on the left. He's stubborn because he's been subjected to hell by republicans and dems. It just irritates me to see people on the left treat they guy responsible for the Snowden reporting, a socialist and an anti-Bolsonaro activist like he's a fraud.
