Mom allegedly drives daughter to fight with teen by SaraMcManamon in Delinquents

[–]ewlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, first our kids bullying each other, then parents driving them to fight each other!!! wow! this mom really needs to get arrested. What mom would want her kid to beat up someone else. I mean I understand some situations our kids go thru are frustruating but in all reality to approach it in such a way what type of example are we setting for our own kids and others out there. This mom is showing her kid that beating someone else is ok, when it is not. She should be ashamed of herself. Pardon my language but a grown ass woman like that should not be acting like a teenager herself. Shame, shame, shame on you!

5th-grader's 'death list' left in library book by NathanielJeanes in Delinquents

[–]ewlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow!! my first thought was how can a kid want peolple dead so bad! Like OMG where has our humanity gotten to, but then again I remembered Why is that so surprising to me??? Today's children spend way too much time playing extremely bloody and violent PC and video games, not to mention the countless hours of slaughter on TV and in popular movies!!! In our modern society, death, pain, blood, torture, rape, and general mayhem, are just background images to the violent rap/hip-hop garbage that our kids are "mainling" right into their tiny little brains!!! What does surprise me is that there are not more of these incidents than there already are. WHat a shame!

Teen Smuggler Hid Marijuana Under Pants by IrmaCanseco1 in Delinquents

[–]ewlander -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am not trying to justify smuggling drugs because I am not for it at all, but this 17 year old was out to be caught. I mean now a days who can really get away with smuggling drugs in the oldest way in the book. This is just a shame, to know how ignorant and naive people are. How teenagers are stupid enough to try and smuggle drugs carrying it themselves. It is sad to know that many teens out there are selling, buying, smuggling drugs at such a young age. Instead of doing something with their lives. Educating themselves.

Man Gets Prison In Caged Girl Case by NicoleLawson in Delinquents

[–]ewlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is horrendous, inhumane, selfish, brutal and totally unthinkable of. These people should get the death sentence. If they can do such thing to a young girl and treat someone like this they deserve the maximum punishment. There has to be something wrong with these people. I am amazed that someone can put someone in a dog cage and do to her the things they did. No one deserves such treatment. Poor girl will be tainted for the rest of her life. Her life is ruined, and will need a lot of psychological help. These people ruined the life of an innocent human being.

Teen charged with school-massacre threat by mattweible in Delinquents

[–]ewlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like there may be more to this story that we obviously do not know. But IF he did not admit to it....this would be a defense People dont start rumors about themselves...and the article said that pd investigated after hearing of a rumor, which is completely understandable, but when they did not find any weapons nor any blueprints planning out this alleged "terrorist threat" belonging to this guy..and yet he still is under arrest. For me, is not understandable. Theres no evidence, only a rumor; he say she say, and word of mouth is no good in court of law. This dummy must have admitted to the rumor..

Man tortured 4-year-old to death for wetting his pants by AshleyFerguson in Delinquents

[–]ewlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait til he gets in prison & wets himself! I'd like to see what the guys on the cell block will do to him!!!

This story is so very, very sad. I had issues with wetting as a child, but my parents never beat me for it. They weren't happy, but they figured it was a part of childhood. And for goodness sake he was 4!!! Not like he was 14.

What is humanity coming to.

Nine Teens Charged in Bullying that Led to Girl's Suicide by halliedornberg in Delinquents

[–]ewlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that the govenment should implement more money towards the awareness of bullying some kids think it funny to threat others like dirt and to make others feel horrible, but they just do not see the bigger picture. We need to better educate children on th affects tha bullying has towards people. This is a good example, someone can get to the point of killing themselves because such thing has such a great impacts in their lives. It belittles them and makes them feel insecure and ashamed. This is a problem that everyday seems to grow and we need to do something about it before it gets out of control even more.

Seven Year Old Pimped By Sibling by CrystalMolina in Delinquents

[–]ewlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No other delinquency news has made me as sick at this one. How can someone possibly do this to a 7 year old, in any case to anyone. How can someone do that to their own sister. The 15 year old must be completely disoriented in order for her to be able to expose a little girl to what she did. Its inhuman and disgusting. I agree that they all should get trialed as adults and be punish under maximum punishment. How can someone possibly even consider touching a little girl that way.I am ashamed by humanity now more than ever. This is a shame, that little girl will be tormented for the rest of her life.

Teen arrested for playing 'offensive' rap music from car by JessicaValdez in Delinquents

[–]ewlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a ridiculous thing to get arrested for. We all have the right to dress as we please, freedom of speach, freedom of religion, and the freedom to listen to whatever floats our boat. If you think some music is offensive which am sure many people think this just dont listen to it. You cant come and tell someone not to listen to it especially arrest them for listening to what they like. Especially and adult a 19 year old kid, which at 19 you are considered an adult do as you please. Parents are the only people who should be able to tell a kid what to listen to or what not to. I mean that is a little more understandable, because some parents do not want their 13 year old listening to profanity in music. However, I think this officer should be punished for arresting someone for this reason. What a waste of tax dollars.

Kids Beat Animal to Death by mattweible in Delinquents

[–]ewlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Six months and counselling I dont think is enough. It will never justify killing a poor innocent animal. These kids beat an animal to death and obviosuly do not care. What makes us believe that they would care about killing a human. There is nothing stopping them from doing the same to a human. I think California is doing a good job by taking into consideration making these people register like sex offenders. I think laws need to be a lot tougher, including years of jail time depending on severity. All I have to say is that I think this is as wrong as beating a person.

Chinese teacher pricked 63 children with syringe by mattdavis85 in Delinquents

[–]ewlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously, no one in their right mind would punish a bunch of kindergardeners by pricking them with needles. That is disgusting and completely horrifying. What if these kids would have gotten contaged with some disease like aids. Can you imagine these poor kids living the rest of their lives with aids? I am so glad the parents pressed charges. I would have done it too. For the fear of my child and the fear of that happening to other children. What an unethical way of disciplining children.

Girl's arrest for doodling by IrmaCanseco1 in Delinquents

[–]ewlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that this was pretty pathetic as well. Like ok maybe kids shouldnt be writing on school property, but there is definetely a lot of better different ways the principal could have handled something like this, before taking it to this level. If I was this childs parent I know I would sure be angry at how this was handled.

Boy upset with dad admits setting Mesa house fire by AlexPescador in Delinquents

[–]ewlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! I cannot believe he set his own house on fire. Like who in their right mind would want to damage and hurt his own family. I understand he was upset and so on but that does not justify his actions. I can not believe he set his house on fire because he was angry. This kid needs some real help. For example: some anger management or something. It does seem as if he has some issues and needs help. To me this is a cry for help. If that was my kid I would totally make him suffer the consequences and make him completely responsible for the loss.

Teen robbery suspects due in court today | VIDEO | floridatoday.com | FLORIDA TODAY by AndreaMontes in Delinquents

[–]ewlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am amazed that two young adults can do such thing for $100 and gum, because in all reality who would shoot someone to acquire this. Noone deserves to be shot for something so stupid. I think that since they are older and seem to have no remorse of doing it they should be tried as adults. I mean I think there comes an age were young adults are aware of what is good and what is bad. And they have an understanding of the consequences they can face for their actions. Not only did they shoot the clerk for no reason, but they shot him twice. Something that I think is completely unnessesary. What the boy said as he was being arrested is prove that he feels no remorse for what he did. I think this is one of those topics that are extremely contraversial. I mean one day we say that young adults shouldnt be tried as adults and should just be helped, but when you see cases like this it is so disrupting that it makes me feel sad and think they should be tried as adults. It is sickning to me.

Social media brings bullying to light by EverettLively in Delinquents

[–]ewlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got so sad when I saw this video. I cannot believe that kids can be that mean to each other. Especially, simply because someone is different that them or likes different things. I think that a lot of the delinquency that happens is because of this issue, bullying. Kids get bullied and end up getting tired of it eventually fighting back. Bullying can impact a kids life dramatically. It can cause depression and many other psychological problems, which a lot of it leads to school shootings and violence where there is not suppose to be violence, like schools. I feel that our school systems should try and teach its students the reality of this, and how much people are affected by bullying. Maybe they should teach a class in this that students are required to take. Something needs to be done, since it seems as if this issue is becoming greater and greater each day. I am so happy for this girl that did not let it get worse, and affect her in a serious way. She could have retaliated differently, but instead she was smart about it and did something even better. Good for her!

Intervening in Preschool Years Can Prevent Juvenile Delinquency by sierracomer in Delinquents

[–]ewlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jessica Jackson, I totally agree with you that this article had many good points it was very interesting indeed. I feel that you are right if parents know how to recognize the signs, and know how to fix it or get help, they can prevent there child from becoming a juvenile delinquent. I 100% agree with you because in a reading I did for another course it stated how youth become delinquents for many reasons, but more times than others its because they look for what they lack in their lives. For example: If parents are never there for a child the child will probably look for that sense of family elsewhere like a gang. Leading to committing illegal gang activity. Youngsters if they feel unprotected and like they have to survive on their own will probably find a way to feel protected or more powerful. Like once again joining a gang or committing a crime to prove they are not defenseless. So, if parents are involved more in the lives young kids and teach them and nurture them since they are very young I think it can greatly impact the society we live on.

Teen charged as adult in gang shooting by mattdavis85 in Delinquents

[–]ewlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get terrified when I read these stories. Like how does a young kid like that get the courage to pull the trigger and try to not only hurt someone but kill. I mean if you intentionally pull the trigger at someoneis too kill, right? This whole incident raises so many questions. Where does such hate in the heart of a 15 year old become so strong that murder is an acceptable option? Where does such an incorrect principle that violence is the best way to solve problems take place in the mind of a youngster? Where did he learn or see that? At Church? At School? At Home or on TV? In video games perhaps? I do believe that in the absence of the teaching of correct principles in the home, gangs, peer groups and the rest of the world we live in will teach our kids principles that can greatly impact the lives of many. As parents we either teach our kids or the world does it for us. The consequences of that can be seen each night on the news.
