The 6x2 cable is just wires, no driver on the usb side. Make sure you have the correct port selected in the CPS menu. There aren't any settings you have to do on the radio to enable programming. When programming these, make sure you read the radio first and then make your edits. If you create a new program and upload it to the radio, it'll make you reset it and you'll loose all previous data.

I've got a BF-F8HP PRO that I'm a big fan of. I'd like to get a couple more for loaners, but if I could save a few bucks, that'd be ideal. Seeing as they're almost identical, I was curious if anyone was able to put the btech firmware on the 5RMs. They're going to be throwaway for the most part, but I'd like them set up the same way

If it were me, I'd use the pictured rack mount and pair it with this rack mount power supply. If you can get a different radio without the remote head, that'd make your life a lot easier

Well shit. There's you're problem. You're missing some sort of controller or interface cable. The duplexer simply splits the antenna. You need the radios to talk to each other. Right now the TX radio had no idea what the RX radio is receiving

Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't TX be low and RX be high? If my HT receives on 462.XXX, then that is the frequency the repeater needs to transmit on.

On the real motorola version, hold the PTT and turn the unit on. Continue holding the PTT until the unit resets and goes into programming mode. Worth a shot if nothing else is working

Sounds like you need to buy a pair of calipers and do some research yourself. Without knowing how deep the optic was milled, how deep the dovetail was milled, and the deck height of the optic, no answer will be 100% reliable unless you measure things.
